My daughter’s first cochlear implant was done when she was 3 years old. When I made the decision to put in a cochlear implant, I was also making the decision to make her completely deaf. I have so much going on in the next month I’m a little overwhelmed. I’m trying not to think about it. The most important thing is my daughter turns 18 in a week. ONE WEEK SHE’S 18!!! I spent the morning in the doctor’s office for my daughter. I had a 9:00 appointment and wasn’t seen until after 10:00. It wasn’t because she was sick. It wasn’t because we needed to run tests.
