Rituxan infusion day

Rituxan infusion day

Third time I’m being infused with Rituxan. I was able to change my infusion place back to my home town instead of NYC. Saves at least 3 hours of the day. I got here at 9am and it’s 9:57 IV is just beginning. Why an hour? Well they didn’t get the doctors orders. Now it is a federal holiday today so getting in touch with the doctor wasn’t going to be easy. Her office at Mount Sinai in NYC is…

The multiple sclerosis exhaustion point

The multiple sclerosis exhaustion point

It’s amazing how a day can turn. There comes a point in the evening with multiple sclerosis my body just has enough. My daughter has learned this point well over the years. It’s when she asks me a question or tells me she needs something at 8-9 at night but my mind and body is fond and shut down. Instead of responding like a normal human being I loose my marbles on her. That happened a little early last night…

Multiple Sclerosis check in since becoming vegan

Multiple Sclerosis check in since becoming vegan

Let me start by reiterating the reasons WHY I decided to become vegan. I was told by my sister and a friend about a movie Forks Over Knives. The movie is about how most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that can afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal based and processed foods. There is also a book by Roy Swank called The Multiple Sclerosis Diet Book. In his book Dr. Swank also believed in…

Multiple Sclerosis not bad, considering…

Multiple Sclerosis not bad, considering…

Look at my last few weeks…I was gearing up for the holidays, got this puppy, go away for Christmas, my beloved dog Boomer died, I spiral into a complete depression, cried everyday for a week plus but my multiple sclerosis symptoms are relatively the same. Are they better? No, but they aren’t worse. Multiple Sclerosis isn’t directly linked to stress, but it never failed for me when I’d have high periods of stress, about one month later, BANG MS ISSUES….

Multiple sclerosis and exercise adapt, modify and repeat

Multiple sclerosis and exercise adapt, modify and repeat

It’s almost an eerie quiet in my house for 7:15 in the morning. Both dogs went back to sleep next to me on the couch. I just finished doing P90 sculpt B. I started doing the P90 series from http://Www.beachbody.com by Tony Horton but stopped when I started having issues with my shoulder. Doctor said I have tendinitis and arthritis. Lovely!!! Thank heaven for the cortisone shot that has done wonders. Anyway…I’ve completed P90X many times. It is actually my favorite of…

I have a cold, caught from my daughter

I have a cold, caught from my daughter

Can’t avoid these things can you? I knew I was going to get sick. I’ve been trying really hard taking precautions but I’m sitting here now sneezing and coughing. I don’t know why but every time you get sick and you have MS  it just seems like everything goes wrong. I’m not achy so to say, but my limbs feel very heavy. I feel fatigued even though I’ve done nothing. I didn’t even work out today. I try to stay…

This sh$t ain’t easy

This sh$t ain’t easy

let’s be real here, if things were going well, I’d still be working. I’d go to work everyday, be around different people, be challenged, strive to be the best and probably be like 76% of the world, stressed out. However, I’m not well, I’m not stressed out like the 76% but my life isn’t easy.  I love the look I still get from some people when I tell them I don’t work anymore. You can see their mind questioning you…

Life goes on…

Life goes on…

Well the little puppy makes life coordination much more difficult. Now on school days if I want to workout alarm is set for 5:45. Daughter gets puppy from that time until 6:30. I get 45 minutes to myself to workout, brush teeth, get coffee and pee basically. Then I take puppy so she can finish getting ready for school. Yes I could put her back in her crate, I know that. The reason I don’t is because most of my…

High dose biotin in multiple sclerosis month 3

High dose biotin in multiple sclerosis month 3

http://sumo.ly/moZo I submitted a link to the biotin research/clinical study that showed that it may be helpful in people with progressive forms of  multiple sclerosis. I am writing from my own perspective from taking the medicine. I get a 100mg pill I take 3 times a day from Ace pharmacy https://highdosebiotin.net . I just completed my 3rd month. I had a neurologist check up in December and in my timed walking, I was 7 seconds faster than I ever walked in her…
