My teen is now legal to drive
The day has come My teen is now legal to drive. Since my divorce I’ve basically been a single mom. My ex-husband lives in a state 9 hours away. Having multiple sclerosis and raising a child has been difficult to say the least. I’m sure any mom with or without MS can agree, the carpooling to outside activities, friends house, parties, and every other place you cart your child to and from is exhausting. Your a mom-o-cab without any pay or tips. It’s a thankless job. So the day finally came where I stood at the DMV counter as they handed her her temporary drivers license and she is now legal to drive. As I watched her grinning from eye to eye as she got in her car and drove off by herself I realized I may now not have to be a taxi but now I’ll just be worrying all the time. Not to mention because I get physically exhausted by 9pm thanks to my MS I can’t go to sleep or I should say I won’t until I know she’s safe and sound back home. I totaled my car the day after I got my license so I’m terrified for her. How do we do it? I may never sleep again. They grow up and for each thing that gets easier another aspect gets harder. Drive safely my baby girl, text me your whereabouts at all time and please universe watch over my girl. My teenager can drive legally!!! OMG
