I had my first in home doctor visit on Monday. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed waiting in my bed than a stuffy doctors office. I was given a two hour window of when they would be here. She was here right in the middle of the expected time. Very nice woman. I was pleasantly surprised. She checked my skin. She checked for any bed sores or any other skin issues that can happen when someone is in bed for excessive time. She understand my circumstances which was so comforting. My vitals were good. My lungs sounded clear. *Makes me really think my breathing episode was definitely a panic attack now. https://multipleexperiences.org/2022/04/22/breathing-issues/* She had an appointment set up with a lab to come and take blood the next day. She is putting through a referral for the podiatrist to come for the treatment of the fungus on my toes. We discussed aspiration and the issue with my multiple sclerosis. We discussed the pneumonia and the fear that not only I felt but my whole family felt. She told me any signs of a cough I am to call the office. They will get an X-ray asap. This is part of my standard care based on my disease and my past issues. I couldn’t feel more at ease. I finally felt like I found a doctor who didn’t blame MS but understood the disease. It just took me being bed bound to find one. I also found out that they have a dentist that comes to the house. They don’t take insurance but they come with everything needed to take care of a any dental issue. There was even an optometrist. Another examination I am way behind in getting done. Who knew??? I’ll get better health care being home.
