This is my daughter’s 23rd birthday. It is also the first year she isn’t home for her birthday. My beautiful baby girl, as she will always be, is now living 6 hours away. She has begun her adult life. She is starting to find her way around this crazy world. This is the first year I don’t get the chance to kiss her face on the day she was born. I’ve been there for every other year to wish her all the best with the biggest hug and kiss. I am so proud of the wonderful woman she is becoming. I love her heart, humor and ethics. She still surprises me so often because I forget she really isn’t that little girl anymore. However, no matter how old she is, she will always be my baby. I’m sending her the biggest hugs and kisses, wishing her the happiest birthday.
