My daughter officially graduated high school
It was a happy day yesterday, I watched my daughter graduate from high school. It wasn’t held at her school, it was held inside at a theater that holds a good amount of people. Therefore, I was able to have tickets for myself, my mom, stepdad, stepmom, her father, her fathers wife, aunt, step sister and a cousin. They let the graduates have their phones during the ceremony. I text my daughter and asked her to close her eyes for one minute and give thanks to all the teachers, especially the teachers of the deaf and speech teachers, we’ve had since she was an infant that all played a role in getting us to where we are. There were a couple that played a major role that without them, we couldn’t have accomplished all we did. My daughter who entered into the mainstream kindergarten class so behind played catch up for most of her schooling years. To graduate on time with a Regents Diploma with Advance Designation is amazing. I’ve written my daughter’s story in two parts enclosed at the end of this blog. I am and always will be a proud mom of all of her achievements.
