Thanksgiving cold
I went out for Thanksgiving. I went home, my childhood home. I haven’t been there again in years. We certainly didn’t know if I could last in a wheelchair for the duration of dinner. To complicate matters I needed to use my hooveround, not my main wheelchair, because the ramps are fitted according to that wheelchair. It didn’t matter I did really well. I sat through all of dinner. I sat at the table with my family. I was very happy to be there.

I got to wear my birthday present from my dad and stepmom. The vest was the winner on making the cut on Amazon season 3 week 2. https://amzn.to/3gERwzR. Loved it, so cute.
I had a wonderful thanksgiving but woke up Friday morning feeling lousy. I got out of bed and struggled to make the transfer to the wheelchair. I was relieved we decided not to play mahjong that afternoon. As the day went on I felt worse and worse. I started coughing up phlegm that I couldn’t get out and would choke on in my throat. It came out of nowhere. I didn’t even sneeze the day before and now I’m choking on phlegm. Once again it was a scary experience because it gets caught in my throat. I can’t get it up and out or down the pipe. That chocking feeling is something you don’t forget. My aide made me a tonic of Haitian rum, orange juice and honey. I can’t thank her enough. She saved me. The honey soothed the throat, citrus melts the phlegm and the rum stops the cough. It helped significantly. I told her she needs to bottle this stuff. I couldn’t get out of bed for two days.
I finally got up today. I feed my puppies and washed my hair. I stopped coughing but started sneezing. However I feel better than I did. I have two doctor appointments this week both with my neurologists. I need to be well to get there. I am relaxing today with my puppies. Maybe they are relaxing with me.

I just love him. Zoey hasn’t left my side for three days. She has taken really good care of her mommy.

Love her. Off to watch my 2005 f1 race. I’m rewatching Fernando Alfonso championship years
. Have a great week.

Like the pictures, it’s nice you got to participate in dinner, sad about the lousy days. Would love to have at least 2 good days in a row. Dinner had to come to me this year. No one has accessible bathrooms, huge problem.
I guess that is one benefit to pull-ups. The bathroom doesn’t matter. Otherwise that would have been another problem.
Great to hear that you got out and spent Thanksgiving with your family!
Thank you Dix. It was a nice day.
