It is so surreal seeing the flooding that goes on down by me. I’ve seen the streets flood a few times now but watching it is still such a crazy experience. I still can’t figure out where the water actually comes from. The canal is two blocks from me but that road didn’t flood. I watched a truck drive through it. Yet my corner looks like this:

This is the street behind me, my view from the balcony in both directions.

Yet the block next to the canal looks fine ??‍♀️.

This morning all is well in the streets again.

I know that further up the block would be pockets of water still left that would be difficult to get through but it is passable. It is a crazy thing. Btw no water goes past our fence into the parking lot of my building.
