A day in the life with multiple sclerosis.
A blister formed after Rituxan infusion again

A blister formed after Rituxan infusion again

On Wednesday I was feeling something itching me under me right breast. I looked many times but didn’t see anything. I was on high alert looking for blister under my breasts. I was very concerned over a repeat episode of the side effects that happened last September. https://multipleexperiences.org/2019/09/17/blisters-on-breast/?preview=true&frame-nonce=b3345af611. When my aid looked on Thursday she was able to see a few little bumps in the area like a rash. We used a little Neosporin on the area. Last night I…

Welcome to my world

Welcome to my world

Another day at home except this time I’m like many others in the world. Welcome to my life. This is definitely the time to binge TV, read a book or 8 and maybe start a jigsaw puzzle. I’m hanging with my puppies, in my chair, gazing at the water and listening to the construction still going on near my condo. It’s comforting to know that things haven’t stopped completely with this virus. I am still feeling tired from my Rituxan…

Grocery delivery thankfully coming

Grocery delivery thankfully coming

I don’t have much to say. I am home and things are uneventful here. I slept better last night which I think my dogs appreciated. I’m tired from the infusion but that is normal. I have ZERO blisters and that is the main thing. My regular aid has been out the last few days with a cold. She didn’t want to be near me which I am thankful for. I’ve had this nice girl here but there isn’t much to…

Rituxan infusion successful

Rituxan infusion successful

I’m happy to report that I have no blisters today. I had three little red marks last night that looked almost like welts. This morning I only saw one. I can’t even begin to tell you the relief that was for me. I will be able to continue Rituxan until something better comes along. That isn’t the greatest statement but it is better than the alternative of putting me on a drug that might not work for me. The infusion…

Knots Landing on the television

Knots Landing on the television

Needing a break from the coronavirus and my upcoming infusion worries, I am always thankful for my Firestick. I have every program imaginable that I can watch just about anything. Lately I started watching Knots Landing. This series ran from 1979-1993. It was an evening soap and a spin off of the soap Dallas. I started watching both Dallas and Knots Landing as a teenager in the 80’s but Knots was better. However it was also on later and I…

Rituxan infusion on Sunday

Rituxan infusion on Sunday

I’m a bundle of nerves which is so unlike me. Between my daughter’s school having a positive case of the virus and choosing to let her stay in Albany My daughter school has a positive case of the coronavirus I feel worried. I’m the mom, I’m supposed to protect my kid but instead I’m keeping her away from me, protecting myself. She’d rather be there, thankfully, but I know the decision is also for my own benefit. My daughter will…

My daughter school has a positive case of the coronavirus

Well our governor tweeted: Starting March 19, @CUNY and @SUNY will move to a distance-learning model for the rest of the semester. This will help us reduce density and reduce the spread of this virus. #COVID19 My daughter goes to a SUNY school in Albany and starts her spring break on Monday March 16. She won’t be coming back to classes. This morning I received a call at 9am from my daughter, who has classes all day today, that classes have…

Price Gouging

Price Gouging

It is terrible what the market is doing. Since people are scared and buying supplies as if the world is about to end, there are those looking to make a fast buck. I’m sure everyone has seen the price of hand sanitizer, masks or gloves at ridiculous prices on Amazon or eBay. The products are flying off the shelves at the retail stores quicker than they can get shipments. I am unable to drive from store to store looking for…
