Weekend changes

Weekend changes

The switch with the new aide actually went pretty flawlessly. My current aide actually had a lot to do with that. She really took the time to show the new aide around. She didn’t have to do that. It wasn’t an aide from her agency. It was an aide that was replacing her. I think I was more impressed with her this week than I have been the entire time she’s been with me. I actually was a little sad…

The replacement aid

The replacement aid

I’m doing better with the spasticity. I was never a person who thought Baclofen really did anything. I’ve taken 10mg a day, as preventative, for as long as I can remember. Now I have to go from a two bedroom apartment with a huge living room, kitchen, crawlspace,…

No, I’m not lucky

There’s a reason I have an aide for eight hours a day. There’s a reason I don’t work anymore. Sometimes I feel like I’m running a scam, that I should be working or I don’t need an aide eight hours a day. Especially when someone says lucky you. Let me explain something to you and myself, I’m not a lucky girl.  I’m not a lucky girl that I’m on full disability and don’t work. I’m not a lucky girl that…
