Too much stress, not enough sleep

Too much stress, not enough sleep

I woke up with a killer headache. I use the word woke up very loosely because I haven’t been sleeping well and last night was no different. On a good note, I should reach my 12th hour of standing goal by 2pm. I’ve been going to sleep to a meditation track every night since last Friday. I started off sleeping great but then my daughter tested positive for Covid and I’ve bees stressed. My daughter is positive for Covid. My…

Covid exposure

Covid exposure

I’ve been basically tucked away for the last 6 months. Limiting my outings, visits and exposure to people. I’ve lived in hibernation even when restrictions were lifted to a degree in New York. I still was exposed to the virus from the biggest germ-a-phob I know. This person was crazy about germs way before Covid came along. She would kill you if you kissed her and had a sniffle. She was sanitizing and wiping common areas way before that became…

Rituxan Infusion Finally Done but still wasn’t smooth

Rituxan Infusion Finally Done but still wasn’t smooth

I finally got my infusion done on Saturday but it was still with a few headaches. I got a delivery on Friday of a box from the pharmacy that seemed to be another box of supplies. I still didn’t have the steroids, Benadryl, Saline Bag or the pump. It took me 50 minutes on hold until I got someone to pick up. From there I was bounced around to three different people. The last person I was speaking to was…

Ocrevus Commercial

Ocrevus Commercial

I never watch TV through my TV carrier. I always watch through my Firecube. No matter what it is, unless it’s something that I record, I’m never on my TV. That being said, it’s also very rare I see commercials. However I was catching up on old Bravo shows that I neither recorded or watched while they aired. On the Bravo app, there’s commercials. When you’re watching an entire season of some thing you end up watching a lot of…

Thankful for Marshmallow and Zoey

Thankful for Marshmallow and Zoey

It is weeks like this I am so happy I have dogs. This was not my greatest week, coming off of my infusion Rituxan infusion complete, having the allergic reaction Allergic reaction to Rituxan and truthfully feeling slightly depressed and they just continued to bring a smile to my face daily. I love their unconditional love they give but I hope they feel the unconditional love I give back. When I was crabby and at a loss of patience for…

Scared for my Rituxan Infusion

Scared for my Rituxan Infusion

My big box from the pharmacy was delivered yesterday. In it was 250mg Solumedrol, 600mg of Rituxan, and a whole bunch of syringes and needles. I’ve done these infusion for years now. I’ve done Solumedrol infusion for even longer. This time opening the box made my stomach drop. I’m dreading this infusion. I’ve done it so many times yet this time I really don’t want to do it. I’m a little afraid. Years ago I was coming off of a…

Back to my daily routine

Back to my daily routine

Another beautiful day in NY. I love watching the sun glistening off the waterI’m sorry my picture doesn’t do this any justice. I had a long day yesterday getting back to my normal life post infusion. It started with a double therapy. That was physical therapy followed by occupational therapy. I thought putting them together might make my week easier but it didn’t make my day easier. I followed that 2 hour of exhaustion with an eye exam because why…

Terrible headaches since Rituxan infusion

Terrible headaches since Rituxan infusion

I have had terrible headaches for three days. Since I have migraines already, I don’t know if the Rituxan made them worse or if it was caused by the infusion but they were bad. I have migraine medicine and I did have to take it. Thankfully I have it because I was in bad shape. Yesterday I took Ibuprofen every 3 hours. It’s been rough. Forgive my brief blog post with my quick update but I’m doing better but still…

An end to a stressful week

An end to a stressful week

Today my van is getting delivered back to me. It seems that the circuit breakers under the floor were water logged. I can’t explain how but the switches needed to be replaced. They kept the car for an extra day testing everything out and hopefully this won’t be a problem again. I am doing my Rituxan infusion later this evening but I am doing at home. That makes a five plus hour infusion so much better. I get to be…

Infusion coming up the switch from Ocrevus to Rituxan

Infusion coming up the switch from Ocrevus to Rituxan

So my infusion is coming up and I’m waiting on authorization. I’m switching back to Rituxan hopefully because I personally feel slightly safer on the drug. However I can only imagine what this will do with the authorization of the drug. Ironically my last infusion my pharmacy had Rituxan on the approved list but not Ocrevus. It took my a while to get Ocrevus approved. Now that I’m switching again to a drug that is technically not approved for MS…
