So my infusion is coming up and I’m waiting on authorization. I’m switching back to Rituxan hopefully because I personally feel slightly safer on the drug. Today my insurance company is sending in a nurse to do a six month review. This review dictates my aids hours and you just never know what is going to happen. I was changed to this plan back in July of 2018 when I became Medicare eligible. They continued with the same level I was currently receiving. So yesterday morning I’m sitting here and I get a call from my insurance that the expedited review for ancillary services, a.k.a. the infusion, has not been deemed necessary. Therefore the review will be conducted at the usual standard time as per policy. WTF???? I thought the problem was they didn’t order the drug?
