How about empathy or sympathy from our government or insurance?

How about empathy or sympathy from our government or insurance?

My last day of work was January 21, 2016. That was almost 9 months ago and I still follow a Monday through Friday week. Probably because my daughter is still in school and I wake up with her every morning so come Saturday and Sunday I can sleep later.   I can’t imagine working. I’m so tired on certain days from doing so little the idea of what I used to do blows me away. how I ever did it? This…

Yesterdays blog was a complete crock of sh@t

At the time I probably meant when I said all that positivity stuff but it didn’t take long for it to go right out the window. I do try mostly to follow a very positive lifestyle but sometimes the MS just gets to me I get overwhelmed and things go downhill fast.  My day didn’t really start good even before I wrote that post. During my exercise I wasn’t in a good mood I wasn’t happy with my program I…

MS another day in the life

MS another day in the life

I’m happy to report after putting myself to bed at 9pm and sleeping until 9am I’m feeling better. I must say I hit my overwhelmed state yesterday evening. I’m off my routine completely.  I haven’t meditated in four days, I haven’t really worked my course of miracles workbook in two days and yesterday I skipped an exercise day which I haven’t done in months. Let me tell you it makes a difference. School starts again tomorrow for my daughter and…

MS drugs getting a cold with a weakened immune system

MS drugs getting a cold with a weakened immune system

I got my first infusion of Rituxan on May 29 and received the second September 16. Rituxan is technically not slated for MS as of yet however it’s counterpart Ocrelizumab is its sister that will be coming out in 2017. What this drug does is it knocks out all the B-cells one of your immune fighting cells. I’ve been on just about all of the MS therapy drugs at some point or other except for the newer ones that have…

Dating isn’t helping the diet

Well good morning self sabotage, how you doing today? Second date update, aren’t we deserving of this?

Second date update, aren’t we deserving of this?

He comes to the door with this humongous bouquet of flowers. I’ve gotten roses before probably picked up at the nearest supermarket but it was obviously nothing like this. I was speechless which is rare for me. Before I met my husband my dating life wasn’t anything to write home about. I was awkward as a teenager and insecure throughout my twenties and thirties. When I met the ex-husband he was the first guy that really liked me that the…

The second date or third or fourth or fifth

The second date or third or fourth or fifth

So tonight is our second date. However if you would ask him and myself we would both say it’s probably more like our fourth or fifth. Being the fact that the first date was nine hours we sat through the lunch crowd the dinner crowd the snack crowd and outside for a while  we feel that it really can’t count as only one. So all the jitters of those first couple of dates that you have are really gone for…

I believe in…

I believe in…

I was never very religious growing up.   My thoughts on Jesus was the that an amazing lived a very long time ago, a preacher who touched many many people. As far as him coming back and being resurrected I believed his spirit did  because I certainly believe that there is something after death. As far as Moses parting the Red Sea, again I believed another great man saved people from hardship somehow got them to another safe land but…

A parent first

A parent first

ive told the story in past posts about my parents and the pain my MS has caused them. To watch your child hurt and suffer when you stand by helpless is the worst feeling for a parent. I know my disease has repeatedly broken my parents (all 4 of them) hearts at various times through the years. I’ve had challenges with my daughter too. She was born with a progressive hearing loss. It is called EVAS, enlarged vestibular aqueduct syndrome. Her…
