Rituxan infusion complete

Rituxan infusion complete

I had my full dose infusion of Rituxan yesterday in my home. Definitely the way to have an infusion. Got my dogs with me for some puppy love, relaxing in my chair and catching up on DVR. The infusion was started very late which was a downside. My nurse had an issue with a prior patient and an infusion that was already scheduled late was now started at 6:30pm. Rituxan, like Ocrevus, is a 5-6 hour infusion so you could…

Getting back into routine

Getting back into routine

It’s been a while, seems like months, but it’s only been a few weeks. I am finally getting back into my weekly routine. I’ve said this many times in my blogs, I need the stability of the routine. It helps me function and cope in each given week. When I’m out of routine I feel a little lost. My MS may even act up and become cumbersome. Might be part of the reason for my lethargic ways these last few…

Increased antidepressant prescription

Increased antidepressant prescription

Snap out of it!!! I was telling myself that for a week. I spent a week in pjs because I didn’t have the energy to get up and get dressed. I’ve been lethargic and tired and just morose. I was off of the steroids and knew it could be a side effect but it was bad. I saw the specialist that Tuesday and when we got to the list of my medication and Prozac she asked for the very first…

Short and sweet

Short and sweet

I am not feeling good. I expected it following my steroid infusion. My skin almost hurts. I’m happy to say I slept in which was needed. It’s a beautiful day here in New York and I am happy to be in my pj’s looking out at the water. I’m accompanied by my fur babies and I’m good for the day. Wishing everyone a lovely Saturday. Steroids complete

Steroids complete

Well when I took out the stint my hand was swollen. That would explain the pain that was going on during the infusion. I got a call at 8:00 last night from the nursing staff about coming today to do my discharge. They said they were going to take out the stint and do my paperwork. I laughed, as soon as that infusion was done I ripped out that stint. I wasn’t leaving that in my hand a minute longer…

Steroids day 2 tips to not gain weight

Steroids day 2 tips to not gain weight

The infusion was slightly painful last night. Painful in the vein not the site of the stint. It made for an uncomfortable hour. That doesn’t make me happy going into tonight. However I have one more infusion to go. No matter how much it hurts I will get it done. Hopefully the vein doesn’t collapse because that would suck. I slept much better yesterday although I was up every two hours to use the bathroom. There is a tricks to…

Steroid infusion set for next week

Steroid infusion set for next week

I’ve shared many blogs explaining how things were getting harder for me. My physical therapist, whom I been seeing for over two years, made a recommendation that maybe it’s time to try steroids. He is also notice the difference. His thinking was maybe, just maybe, this is actually some flareup of a MS. Maybe a course of steroids would take down any inflammation and give me back a little bit of my strength. Since I saw my neurologist less than…

Keto diet week one

Keto diet week one

I must say, I found it pretty easy to do but I had help. I had a menu planner that I purchased for a small price from your Keto diet https://usa.yourketo.diet/. I used that and an app for tracking called Lifesum https://lifesum.com/. It’s really the app that has been a huge help. It lets me track all my food and helps me figure out my targets in each category. I can see if I’m short in fats, high in carbs…

After I got diagnosed with MS what I’d change

After I got diagnosed with MS what I’d change

I guess this is kind of like a part two to yesterday’s blog before I was diagnosed. https://multipleexperiences.org/2018/06/25/before-i-had-multiple-sclerosis/ What I’m not going to write here is about my attack in 2014 that really disabled me. What I am going to say is what I would change if I could go back. Again hindsight is 20/20 but this is for the newly diagnosed and people more on the early side of their onset of multiple sclerosis. When your first diagnosed, it’s…

DoTerra HD Clear Oil

DoTerra HD Clear Oil

I bought this for my daughter for breakouts. She is 18 years old she gets breakouts, so I figured it can’t hurt let’s see if that helps. I honestly never asked her how it was. I forgot all about it. That is until I had to do steroids and my entire face broke out. One of the lovely side effects of steroids is acne. I was looking for acne medicine and could find nothing. So I asked her where it…
