My wheelchair tips from the evaluators

Well my appointment with my OT wheelchair evaluators was good and bad. I was having some issues transferring into my new chair. Having issues with my new wheelchair. The bad was the chair doesn’t get an lower. My therapist explained that I need to work on the ways to make transfers work and keep them safe. Race against the clock

Race against the clock

I woke up this morning at 6:30 to use the bathroom and ended up waking both dogs. I tried to go back in bed for a bit but my Zoey opened my bedroom door. She likes to use the wee wee pads on the balcony instead of the bedroom. She got back into bed but Minx got up and was on his own wandering around the condo. How wide is my kitchen? What difficulties do I have in the bathroom with my current…

I’m going out…my wheelchair evaluation

I’m going out into the zombie apocalypse tomorrow. Wish me luck. It will be my first time out in almost two weeks. I’ve been very good at hiding myself away to keep safe but now I must make an appearance. I finally got an appointment for a wheelchair evaluation at my physical therapy office. I’ve waited four months to be seen. I couldn’t decide to not go. They assured me that the staff is in masks and the gym is…
