A day in the life with multiple sclerosis.
Bike MS 2021

Bike MS 2021

It has been another fast week. I keep saying that every week. I think time is speeding up and I am really not looking for any speeding tickets. I am, however, ready for my sweatshirts and warm pjs so the 70 degree weather can go. I am ready to be bundled up with hot chocolate again. While I’m thinking about bundling up my brother has been out biking getting himself ready for Bike MS. I always think to myself during…

Apple Watch trade in issues

Apple Watch trade in issues

Aggravating morning yesterday. Actually I’ve had an aggravating time with my entire trade in process with my Apple Watch. I decided to get the series 6 after Apple announced the Apple 7 watch. The biggest differences being a thinner screen and longer battery life, I didn’t need to wait. It was time for me to upgrade my watch so I did. The biggest thing I wanted was to keep my band from my series 5 purchase for my new watch….

Moving the scale downwards

Moving the scale downwards

Well good morning to everyone. Another week is beginning. Oh joy!!! Truthfully, the days all blend for me sometimes. If it wasn’t for my aide showing up Monday mornings, I might never know what day it is. I didn’t do anything this weekend because I was exhausted from this week. It doesn’t take much to overwhelm me during a week. A few activities outside my normal week and that’s all it takes. I cherish my down times. Cuddling my pups…

Wishing my daughter all the best in the world ❤️

Wishing my daughter all the best in the world ❤️

It is official, my daughter moved out yesterday. Unfortunately, she didn’t move locally so she won’t be popping over anytime. Her trips home will have to be planned with a plane, train or car. Everyone asked me all week if I was ok, and I really was. This morning saying goodbye tears flowed because of pride. I am just so proud of her. She has had to work very hard to get to this point. Life certainly hasn’t been easy…

Chair workouts

Chair workouts

I talk about working out so often I thought I should share some of my favorites. I go to Youtube often. There are so many free videos for working out that you have no excuse. I usually do 3 days weights and 3 days cardio. Yes, I do the MS Gym first and that I do pay for that program but that isn’t the main part of my exercise. The following are some I do with most consistency: Adapt to…

My beautiful girl moving this week

My beautiful girl moving this week

This was a beautiful weekend. I love the smell of the air with all the windows open. I had a perfect weekend. It didn’t involve much of anything but it just felt relaxing. No falls, no drama, no frustration and no aggravation. It was just nice. I like the quiet and lately I’ve needed the downtime. I had a beautiful view. I had my favorite companions. It was a good weekend. My daughter is moving in 4 days. She is…

Graduation present cashed in

Mikayla, my beautiful daughter, graduated back in May. Of course I shared that blog with you. https://multipleexperiences.org/2021/05/19/mikaylas-graduation/. It was a really exciting weekend. She got a lot of gifts for her graduation. My gift was to be https://multipleexperiences.org/2021/05/19/mikaylas-graduation/done when she was ready. I gave her the gift of paying for her next tattoo. She has been wanting another one for so long and I knew it was a really good gift to give. Currently she has this very large flowers…

Sometimes the dots don’t connect

Sometimes the dots don’t connect

Well you can get Covid even after you’ve been fully vaccinated. My poor sister has been feeling awful this past week. She tested positive for covid. Like so many people, me included, we’ve gotten a little lax with the mask. I don’t think the vaccinations are lasting as long as they originally thought they would. I got my booster already and I would prefer not to be doing that every few months. I do think that the vaccine need more…

Bike for MS

Bike for MS

Once again my brother is training for his 50 mile bike ride for multiple sclerosis. Each year he does this fundraiser in my name. Raising money riding a bike, something I’ve been unable to do for at least 8 years. Please help us find a cure for all of those who suffer daily but are still warriors. https://www.facebook.com/donate/157731676220745/?fundraiser_source=external_url Why We Want to Create a World Free of MS It’s now 13 years ago when I said I wanted to ride…

Weekend plans, or not

Weekend plans, or not

When your day starts off with an accident and a fall, you aren’t feeling so optimistic for a good MS day. Yesterday evening was my second Kesimpta shot. I decided to once again do my thigh region. I did my right leg this time. That might not have been the best place. As soon as the needle pierced the skin, my leg immediately went into a super spasm. I twitched and moved during the injection. It hurt. I know that…
