I built a dog run

I built a dog run

Well  now I’ve been trying to train Boomer to go to the bathroom. Boomer is the big one first picture. He’ll pee out here but he hasn’t pooped out here yet. Unfortunately he is over 10 years old and he’s used to being walked so it’s going to take some time.  But I’m patient. I got cookies in my pocket and eventually will get there. But today I’m just hanging out hoping for the miracle.  I did this for the future…

U2hearts, Raven, tattoos of who I was and who I am

U2hearts, Raven, tattoos of who I was and who I am

U2HEARTS This was my license plate for more then 15 years. It was from U2-Two Hearts on the War album, my favorite U2 album. It is my email address as well. I recently turned in my plates and became incognito driving around town. I gave my old car to my daughter and leased a new car. A black car. I haven’t owned a black car since I was 17 years old and totaled my black car the day after I…

Follow up to learning your truth, love over fear

Follow up to learning your truth, love over fear

I never commented on this picture yesterday. I found this on a U2’s website written in Bono’s handwriting but signed by Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry. I don’t know if it’s going to be a new song or if it was just something they were doodling but it was so fitting and they’re my favorite. Yesterday I wrote to my coach before I spoke to her and asked her to read my blog. I received an email that simply said…

While your learning your truth love over fear

While your learning your truth love over fear

The following are conversations I had with my life coach about ending things and the actions with the guy I was dating, the one with the 9 hour first date. The beginning part was in our session when I realized I didn’t want me to continue dating him, I wasn’t feeling the connection. She coached me to follow my inner guide, listen to my gut feeling and stay on my course of coming from a place of love.  My struggle…

Multiple Sclerosis Grants-patients source for help

Multiple Sclerosis Grants-patients source for help

When I got divorced I was very lucky and found an apartment around the corner from where my house was. My daughter who was only 7 at the time had very little disruption to her school life she just got on the bus one stop earlier. Now with college looming the thought of me moving to a place more disability friendly and with a yard for my dogs became the hot topic. My daughter was distraught though, to her this…

That’s ok I’m happy

I dropped my $100 Aria scale yesterday which shattered on the floor into a million pieces because of my hands with ataxia but that’s ok I’m happy. I stepped on my old Aria scale I have to find out I’m currently up 8lbs so I need to reign that in really fast but that’s ok I’m happy. I went to physical therapy this morning and I’m a little wiped out and it’s only 11:00am but that’s ok I’m happy. I’m…

Saturday morning multiple sclerosis week in review

Saturday morning multiple sclerosis week in review

Good morning. I first have to say what a beautiful day in New York. The sun is bright shining into my house spreading love and happiness throughout. Yesterday my daughter received an email from Lynn University that she was accepted to the college with a Dean’s scholarship. It was so exciting for everyone in my family but it was also so reassuring for her. This college is in Florida and it would be my first choice for her. It is…

Brake hold great feature for MS drivers

Happy Friday. The end to a very long week.  This week knocked me out. Not that it takes much to do these days but this one was a doozy. Im about to wake my little sleeping cherub up because we have to head into the city.  She received a new cochlear implant upgrade and her audiologist is in NYC.  The trip in will hopefully not take more than an hour.  I’m praying for a lighter traffic day due to the…

What will happen to health insurance now?

What will happen to health insurance now?

Started physical therapy this week. Last time I did physical therapy for my multiple sclerosis was during my very first attack almost 19 years ago. Why? Insurance co-pays.  I could never afford the co-pay to go to physical therapy twice a week, hell I couldn’t afford the co-pay once a week.  I was working full time and was getting buried by my co-pay medical bills.  I have multiple sclerosis so of course all my doctors are specialists which had the…
