Rituxan postponement

Rituxan postponement

Today I am getting blood work done. My specialist wants to see a few things. First, my B cell counts. With the hundreds of blood tests I’ve had done in the hospital, that wasn’t done. There was no need to break out the specific white blood cells for a pneumonia. The second thing is my immunoglobulin blood test. I was running very low in the hospital throughout the few months. The pneumonia certainly could be to blame. However, every time…

Finally finished with antibiotics

Finally finished with antibiotics

Yesterday was the last day of the antibiotics. I have been taking a prophylactic drug from the time I got home from the hospital on March 5th. I was taking Atovaquone. Skin infection, antibiotics and the one who couldn’t deal

Skin infection, antibiotics and the one who couldn’t deal

I’d love to say my saga is over, but I have a very bad feeling it’s not. I’ve been on my antibiotics for two days and the pain, which i thought subsided slightly, has not and my calf has swelled up tremendously. That’s causing a lot of pain. Something is very wrong!!! I think I’m going to have to go back to the ER later. I know this is crazy but they’re coming to do my windows this morning and…

Another afternoon in the ER

Another afternoon in the ER

I knew I should’ve gone to one of the urgent care is instead of going to my actual doctor. He was concerned that the bump/bruise I had on my knee not only had an infection, but the infection could’ve reached my knee joint. If that was the case I would’ve needed IV antibiotics and would’ve had to be in the hospital for a couple of days. From the office he sent me right to the ER. What started as a…
