A day in the life with multiple sclerosis.
Starting the process of getting an aid

Starting the process of getting an aid

Good morning and happy Friday to everyone.  Most of the time I dictate my blog through the voice on my iPad. Then I go back and correct any mistakes, which are usually a lot and sometimes hilarious. What obviously never comes across is my voice inflections when I’m speaking, probably why my humor doesn’t come across. I guess you can’t hear sarcasm in words that you read. Oh well, back to my topic, which this morning is, that I started…

Life as a pear

Life as a pear

Yes I apologize in advance, I’m back to weight and body image once again in my blog. I’m really convince a lot of clothes manufacturers changed the sizing of clothes. Clothes shopping has never been easy for me. Primarily, I have multiple sclerosis and can’t do it. Secondly, I’m a pear. When you’re a pear, your shopping for clothes to fit a smaller waist, larger hips, thighs, and butt. That and a 5 foot two frame, and you got a…

Emotional freedom technique

Emotional freedom technique

This is actually a reblog of mine. I used tapping for weight loss and self esteem issues some time ago. I must admit, I haven’t been doing it at all lately, but I know it’s a great tool. I’ve been having problems sleeping. I’ve been waking up almost every hour. I can’t stress how important sleep is with MS, or any chronic condition for that matter, and I’m not getting enough. In my email today was an article about tapping…

Me and multiple sclerosis continued

Me and multiple sclerosis continued

I’m sitting here with six exercises left of my P90X routine. Fuming actually that I haven’t been able to continue to finish the last six exercises.  This is certainly a first!!!!! I really just want to say go to hell MS.  This is such a sucky disease of times. It’s not bad enough that it takes a lot to muster the energy to exercise for any given person but an MS person its more of a push. I’m sitting here…

Blogging my online journal

Blogging my online journal

It’s another Monday, how did that happen? So today I was thinking, I wasn’t in the mood to blog. Then I realized I’ve blogged every day since I started the blog in July. Yes, sometimes I cheat and I put up song lyrics like yesterday, but come on Linkin Park rocks, it was meaningful.  Sometimes I put up recipes but let me tell you the Vegan Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies https://multipleexperiences.org/2017/04/08/vegan-oatmeal-chocolate-chip-cookies/ freaking rock, made them again yesterday. Or my highest traffic…

Leave the rest behind-Linkin Park

Leave the rest behind-Linkin Park

I wanted to put up a song today that I’ve been listening to a lot lately. It’s about being remembered for the good things not the bad. It is about remembering the love not the hurt. This song completely represents my past relationship and I do think of him when I hear this song. Actually I think of him with many Linkin Park songs, if he ever reads this, I know he’ll smile knowing why, as I do. However I’ve…

Me and multiple sclerosis

Me and multiple sclerosis

We’ve had a turbulent relationship over the last 19 years to say it mildly. There have been many one-sided fights. I’ve told my story before bug sometimes it’s worth repeating. My first MS attack (exacerbation) was sever. The entire left side of my body went numb and atrophied. I couldn’t walk, hold anything or feel on the left side. It came on fast starting in my foot on a Saturday and by the time I saw the doctor that Friday…

Forks over Knives Hippie Loaf

Forks over Knives Hippie Loaf

OK I have to start this post explaining that I was expecting this to be like my all hated veggie burger. https://multipleexperiences.org/2017/03/22/i-am-protesting-the-veggie-burger/.  I really been trying to find something other than my favorite soup that I still make every week.  https://multipleexperiences.org/2017/02/01/vegan-creamy-potato-curry-soup/  Or my no-tuna salad I eat all the time https://multipleexperiences.org/2017/03/16/forks-over-knives-vegan-no-tuna-salad-sandwich/ because a person can’t live off of 2 recipes and call it a day.  Anyway, for me the recipe was super easy. I just threw all the ingredients into my food processor and…

Forgetting to stop and smell the roses

Forgetting to stop and smell the roses

I have a very specific schedule in the morning. I wake up I brush my teeth first, feed the dogs as brew my coffee, I pour my coffee, and I work out.  Before I pick up my iPad, iPhone or anything else, I pick up my Course in Miracles book. The lesson for the day is always where I begin. I use to meditate right after, but since I got the puppy, that has gone out the window. Instead, I…

What I’d tell to my younger self if I could

What I’d tell to my younger self if I could

Yesterday I read a post by MerBear over at knocked over by a feather https://knockedoverbyafeather.wordpress.com/2017/04/18/an-easy-mark/. It was about those kids that teased us as children, the scars we carry because of it. Then she asked if we could go back in time, what would we say to them as adults. My reply was, if I can go back in time it was ME I’d be lecturing  not the bullies. If I could teach my younger self to eat right, work out, and…
