A day in the life with multiple sclerosis.
Getting my 1st Covid vaccine dose

Getting my 1st Covid vaccine dose

If you would believe I’m strapped in to the back seat of my van on my way to get a Covid vaccination. My stepdad is driving, mom in the front and I’m bouncing around in the back. My van doesn’t have the greatest suspension so it isn’t the smoothest ride inb I can’t tell you how I got this appointment. My mom has been crazy ever since the vaccines became available. She became more so when she became eligible to…

46th President to be sworn in

46th President to be sworn in

The inauguration is today. I’m hoping there is peace around the country. I have never watched an inauguration in my 49 years on this earth. I hated politics. It is the one area I purposely remained ignorant about. Over the past 6 years or so, prior to the last presidential election, I started paying more attention. I’m still far from an expert in the workings of our government but I certainly have created an opinion. Republican or Democrat there are…

Taking a few days off from workouts

Taking a few days off from workouts

This is an amazing thing, I’m taking a few days off from exercising. If you follow my blog, you know this is a big, big, thing for me. If you don’t follow my blog, take my word for it, this is a major thing for me. I don’t skip workouts. They aren’t an optional thing for me to do each day. So why am I bragging about taking a few days off? Truthfully it is a mental thing. Taking a…

True Love

True Love

I watched my beautiful cousin get married yesterday via internet live feed. I was able to access their wedding website and links through my Firestick internet. We were able to watch everything through my TV sitting comfortably in my living room as opposed to hunched over an iPad. My mom and stepdad came over so we could all watch together. This ceremony was far from the dream she had when she got engaged but Covid interrupted and new plans were…

Neat Stuff

Neat Stuff

More fun knowledge stuff sent to me from my dad. I thought it was a perfect way to end the week. Enjoy and have a great weekend. Glass   takes one million years to decompose, which means it never wears out and can be recycled an infinite amount of times!    Your tongue   is the only muscle in your body that is attached at only one end.   If you stop getting thirsty   , you need to drink more water. Covid vaccination for people with MS

Covid vaccination for people with MS

I wrote a blog giving you information that my specialist in NYC has given to all their patients. Covid vaccination information for MS patients. The National MS Society has also released information https://www.nationalmssociety.org/coronavirus-covid-19-information/multiple-sclerosis-and-coronavirus/covid-19-vaccine-guidance. There is a great article on vaccines in general with various MS drugs that I definitely encourage everyone to look at https://www.mslivingwell.org/2020/11/28/vaccines/. Basically you can find anything out in the vaccine and MS by doing a Google search. For all of the Ocrevus people out there, I…

Hot flashes

Hot flashes

I am not sure but I might be having hot flashes. I honestly can’t tell because I get the same issue with my MS. How are you supposed to tell the difference? I can overheat, from doing nothing, and start sweating anytime. I’ve blogged numerous times about the issues with MS and regulating body temperature. https://multipleexperiences.org/2018/07/16/regulating-body-temperature-with-ms/ orhttps://multipleexperiences.org/2020/02/25/ms-and-body-temperature/. In the last few weeks I’ve been having these hot flash things. I mean the heat creeps up and I break out in a…

Loving me for me not the scale

Loving me for me not the scale

I stop talking about my weight for a while now. I still weigh in every week and Trackett, I just don’t talk about the number. I am still between 10 and 13 pounds higher than my average where I was at before I really became disabled. I still work out six days a week. I still watch what I eat. I’m still vegan, mostly. It fluctuates. I’ll takeoff the 3 pounds then it will come back and it comes off…

I’d love a day off from my symptoms

I’d love a day off from my symptoms

Well good morning to everyone. Happy Monday. I am dictating this through my new iPhone. Hopefully the dictation goes better than the old phone, after all the issues I’ve had dealing with the purchase of this new phone, at least something needs to go right. You can’t make this up…. I must say, so far, it’s working really well. I’ve had a tough weekend, I’m still just not feeling great, not sickness wise, more MS issues. i’ve slept in every…

I’m in a mood today

I’m in a mood today

I wasn’t feeling well all day yesterday. I actually napped most of the day. Well I had the TV on and my eyes closed. For me that’s pretty much napping. I just didn’t feel well. No fever, no aches but my muscles felt sore. That was the best way for me to describe it. I went to sleep early but unfortunately that didn’t go off quite as I intended. At about 2 o’clock I was woken up with bathroom issues….
