A week after Rituxan

A week after Rituxan

I went through my blog posts because I couldn’t remember how many times I’ve done Rituxan. I made the switch from Ocrevus back to Rituxan for the March 2019 infusion. This is my 3rd time. I was on Rituxan at an earlier time but was forced to change when Ocrevus came out. My insurance company, at the time, would not authorize Rituxan because it was not approved for multiple sclerosis. I than changed insurance companies once again and asked to…

Rituxan infusion coming up

Rituxan infusion coming up

Good morning and happy hump day to all. Got through the day of exhaustion from therapy yesterday. At least I had a justifiable reason for being fatigued. I even made it to my hair appointment and no more grey hairs, at least for the next 5-6 weeks. My wonderful hair dresser, who is also a good friend, even blew out my hair for me saving me a step so I didn’t have to deal with it myself. I’m almost due…

Dr. Pimple Popper

Dr. Pimple Popper

Everyone has been talking about Dr. Pimple Popper so I finally tried it out. Everything everyone said was right, it is so gross but you can’t look away. I watch and my stomach is quesy yet I put on another episode. Makes me not so worried about my fungus that doesn’t hurt and keeps well hidden by socks. I’ve never jumped to crazy…

But it isn’t even 11am…

I was so happy to have nothing to do today. This week has been long already. However within the first hour of waking I realized things weren’t going to be as smooth as I would have liked. It started with a notification from Quest Labs. That is just one of the labs out here I do bloodwork at. Since my last bloodwork was done with my doctor on Tuesday at LabCorp I was curious what this was. It was on…

Rituxan is NOT the cause of the blisters

Rituxan is NOT the cause of the blisters

According to my dermatologist yesterday she strongly feels that these blisters and now abscess are NOT because of an allergic reaction to Rituxan. Blisters and Rituxan More skin issues after Rituxan. She believes I picked up something and taking the Rituxan just helped the infection spread faster. Rituxan did it’s job by wiping out my B cells lower my immune system, or compromising my immune system, at the perfect time. According to the dermatologist the blisters under my breast and…

My boo boo feet

My boo boo feet

It happened again. I got blisters on my pinky toes and wearing shoes became quite an issue. It started about a month ago where my shoes started rubbing and I knew it was going to be a problem. Guess what, it was. I’ve been wearing the same sneakers for a long time never had a problem and all of a sudden they’ve become tight. The truth is I even know why. I didn’t take my water pill for a couple…
