On the flip side

On the flip side

I took the dogs for a walk on the nautical mile today to purchase some fish. I was able to take pictures of my life from the reverse perspective. My dogs were loving the smell of the fish store but they weren’t invited in. This is the nautical mile All lined on a canal leading to the ocean This is where I live. The top floor is my condo. These are the three most popular bars on the mile all…

Thankful for Marshmallow and Zoey

It is weeks like this I am so happy I have dogs. This was not my greatest week, coming off of my infusion Rituxan infusion complete, having the allergic reaction Allergic reaction to Rituxan and truthfully feeling slightly depressed and they just continued to bring a smile to my face daily. I love their unconditional love they give but I hope they feel the unconditional love I give back. When I was crabby and at a loss of patience for…

My baby girl is home

I’m so happy my girl is home. Second year of college complete and first year away from home. Academically not the greatest year but Albany University is a hard school and she tries. Socially a great year and I see such a difference in this girl. I’m so proud of her. She is turning 20 in a few weeks and I’m amazed at where the time has gone. Love is blind campaign for brachycephalic dog breeds

I saw this on a blog I follow https://doggymom.com/author/doggymomblog and had to share it with my own readers. It is about the brachycephalic breeds which include English bulldogs and French bulldogs. If you have ever seen my blog or if you haven’t my beloved first dog was an English Bulldog named Boomer that passed two years ago. I now have two lovable and snuggable French bulldogs, Zoey and Marshmallow. I love these breeds and the smushed faces but their increased…

A sleepless night

A sleepless night

I’ve been up since roughly 4 AM. I couldn’t even tell you why. I think I’ve watched an entire season of friends before I finally gave up and got out of bed. I’ve watched a lot of Netflix including part 2 of Making a Murderer, the Staircase and the Ted Bundy Tapes. I worked out every single morning even with…

My chunky French bulldog

My chunky French bulldog

We went for her annual yesterday and my girl gained 11 pounds this year. However last year she was very thin but still. My vet said it wasn’t terrible but we have to cut down her food and replace some with green beans so she doesn’t starve. My vet loves her. We have been at my veterinarian for my dogs since my Boomer was 1. She loved him too. On a side note She was amazed by how good his…

Boomer is back

Boomer is back

This was the best present. I am so happy I did this. I hugged the picture for a little before I would even put it down. I missed my dog. He was the first dog I ever owned and he was a great dog. I was going to make a wall of dogs in my bedroom but I ended up hanging him in my living room. It’s where I spend the most time and I could appreciate the painting more….

My birthday present

My birthday present

This year the gift from my family was a painting. My English Bulldog Boomer died almost 2 years ago and I wanted for the longest time to get something as a memorial to him. I was going to do a tattoo of his paw but the picture I actually had didn’t work. I finally decided to get a painting and I’m so glad I did. The painting is the first one without the bowl. I used a company called Portrait…

My French bulldogs

My French bulldogs

I love these two dogs. They are such great companions with each other and for me. I’m home a lot with a chronic illness. It can seem like a lonely life to some. However, it really isn’t and that’s partly because of them. They make me smile all day so today I wanted to be grateful for my Marshmallow and Zoey.
