God created dogs
My dad sent this to me yesterday Any person who is an animal lover especially a dog can truly understand this video. Brings tears to my eyes actually. I blog about my dogs often because they are members of my family. They are my kids who give unconditional love at all times. They ask for so little in return other than food (ok well maybe mine beg) and a little attention. They always keep me company and they don’t talk…
English Bulldog as a service dog
My daughter comes home for the weekend. Very happy about that. Haven’t seen her since the week after school started in August. I’ve missed that cute face. She got this great job at school working for a dog daycare called Camp Bow Wow. She loves it not only because of the dogs but the people. It is the nicest most supportive jobs environments I’ve ever witnessed. Luckily there is even a location close to us at home that she is…
The morning stillness
There isn’t a wind blowing outside which makes the water completely still. This is one of my favorite views. I could easily capture this in a photo because the water isn’t moving in a picture. Now imagine that in person, just complete stillness. There isn’t a boat, a ripple or a current disturbing the top of the water. I have a thing for the quietness of mornings like this. When my dogs aren’t barking, no one is in my house…
My chunky French bulldog
We went for her annual yesterday and my girl gained 11 pounds this year. However last year she was very thin but still. My vet said it wasn’t terrible but we have to cut down her food and replace some with green beans so she doesn’t starve. My vet loves her. We have been at my veterinarian for my dogs since my Boomer was 1. She loved him too. On a side note She was amazed by how good his…
Boomer is back
This was the best present. I am so happy I did this. I hugged the picture for a little before I would even put it down. I missed my dog. He was the first dog I ever owned and he was a great dog. I was going to make a wall of dogs in my bedroom but I ended up hanging him in my living room. It’s where I spend the most time and I could appreciate the painting more….
My birthday present
This year the gift from my family was a painting. My English Bulldog Boomer died almost 2 years ago and I wanted for the longest time to get something as a memorial to him. I was going to do a tattoo of his paw but the picture I actually had didn’t work. I finally decided to get a painting and I’m so glad I did. The painting is the first one without the bowl. I used a company called Portrait…
Unconditional love of my daily pet therapy
I don’t understand how people don’t want the unconditional love of a pet. I think everybody should be pet people either dog or cat. I’ve had them both. Some of my cats were prissy, but most were very affectionate. Although my cat’s affection was nothing like my dogs. When I had by cats, and I had six at one point, my dad always said you’re a dog person. He was right. Not to mention that I’m actually allergic to cats…
The brilliant pad for dogs
I get asked a lot how I walk my dogs. Well, I don’t. Walking the dogs became difficult after my last attack in 2014. When I had Boomer, he was 70 pounds, my daughter used to walk him. Otherwise I would take my scooter out with him. Since the day I got my little Marshmellow (yes we spell his name with an E), he was impossible to train, so he learned to go outside as well as inside. Marshy would…
How much I love my dogs…
Let’s start with a happy Friday. I appreciate Friday also, the weekend still is the weekend for me. This was a long week and I’m glad it’s over. Next week is not much better, so you might hear this again. I’m sitting in my usual spot gazing at the water. It isn’t sunny but that fog isn’t here either. I got both my babies with me My Marshmellow is making me a bit nervous. He wouldn’t eat his dinner yesterday….
