I have Acid Reflux Disease

I have Acid Reflux Disease

My gastroenterologist called me the other day with one of my biopsy results. I didn’t expect the diagnosis but I also wasn’t shocked. Most people think heartburn with acid reflux. I really don’t have that issue, or at least I don’t think I do. I do have the feeling of smoking a carton of cigarettes upon waking up some mornings. Is that heartburn for me? I thought that was the MS hug. Sometimes my symptoms don’t make sense to doctors….

Colonoscopy and Endoscopy

Colonoscopy and Endoscopy

Hello my fellow blog readers. How are you doing? I was absent last week. I had so much going on getting ready for my colonoscopy/endoscopy on Thursday. The prep for the colonoscopy was horrible, HORRIBLE!!!! I even started 4 hours earlier than the instructions indicated. My aide changed me every hour from 12pm-6am. I was physically and mentally exhausted. Thankfully I had an early appointment. Unfortunately, I knew I wasn’t cleaned out. A very easy indicator was that the stool…

Shameful Doctor

Shameful Doctor

I’ve been absent again. I have just had a lousy few weeks. I have had a shitty year. If you have read my blog, I have that well documented. I’m tired of dealing with all the issues that keep occurring week in and week out. I just feel like I have not had one month where I wasn’t dealing with some issues. From sickness to bedbugs back to my chronic stomach issues, I honestly feel like I can’t catch a…

Gastrocolic Reflux

Gastrocolic Reflux

I’m waiting out a F1 rain delay so I decided to write. Rain always makes a race so much more interesting. My favorite driver, Fernando Alonso, a veteran and oldest F1 racer loves the rain. He knows how to drive a F1 car in those weather conditions. He isn’t scared taking the corners at a high speed as some of the newer drivers still are tentative. Plus this is a night race in a street circuit. That means close walls….

Waiting on Gastric Diagnosis

Waiting on Gastric Diagnosis

I have a new day time aide. It’s been a little rough with some of the aides I’ve been sent. I hate being that person that complains but some of these people were just useless. I can put up with a lot. If I feel unsafe with someone I usually can’t get through that. Some of these aids had no training. I knew if I stumbled during a transfer I was going down. It became very stressful each day. Each…

My Full Time Job

My Full Time Job

Another week begins…truthfully they all blend these days so I shouldn’t say a word. It isn’t like I’m starting a work week. The one thing Monday brings is the list of phone calls I need to make. I find it amazing that I always have to take care of something. It is either insurance stuff, doctor appointments or calling people that didn’t return my call from the following week. It might not pay but somedays it’s a full time job….

Treading water

Treading water

I’ve been overwhelmed lately. I actually missed a day blogging last week. My other blogs were far from anything difficult or heartfelt. I took a hiatus from blogging, dieting and even working out. I just feel very stressed lately because it never seems to end. Every day is another issue. Considering how this year started, the pneumonia, being bed bound, you’d think I could deal with anything. It just seems like every time I get through one obstacle or issue,…

New Bathroom Issues, yes they can be worse

New Bathroom Issues, yes they can be worse

I always said I was going to be honest when I wrote my blog. I have told many horrifying embarrassing stories over the 6 years I’ve been blogging. I guess now isn’t the time to stop. I’ve had bathroom issues my whole life. By bathroom, I mean bowel. It was very common for me to go to the bathroom as little as once a week, sometimes longer. I many times had to take laxatives to “move things along“. This in…

A trip to the gastroenterologist

A trip to the gastroenterologist

I made it through this week. It was difficult at times but I stand by my decision to not bring in a substitute aide. I did have my regular aide in for the day yesterday because I had a doctor appointment. She was so helpful that she made herself available to be here during her vacation. I didn’t even ask her, she offered immediately when she realized I had an appointment. I went to the gastroenterologist. Always dealing with the…

Triple Magnesium Complex for bowel issues

Triple Magnesium Complex for bowel issues

Let me tell you, I’ve been dealing with bowel issues for a very long time having multiple sclerosis. https://multipleexperiences.org/2019/04/13/when-the-back-door-garbage-chute-isnt-working/. https://multipleexperiences.org/2019/06/07/backdoor-chute-muscles-missing-signals/. I’ve tried many different things that have worked for a short while only to stop working again. https://multipleexperiences.org/2019/04/19/backdoor-chute-suggestion-worked/. I finally went to see a gastroenterologist for help. https://multipleexperiences.org/2019/07/15/gastroenterologist-visit/ We started me on Linzess and tweaked things because it wasn’t really working out. https://multipleexperiences.org/2019/08/14/gastroenterologist-visit-again/. After trying a few things I landed back on Linzess and Amitiza. Eventually I was either not…
