My neurological tests don’t show my ms progression, why?

My neurological tests don’t show my ms progression, why?

It is tough. I go to the doctor and my neurological tests aren’t so bad from my last visit. My timed walking was increased by only 2 seconds. No big deal. My range of motion was pretty much the same range as it was last visit. My MRI shows no activity. Yet I’m worse. Everyone who is involved in my daily life knows I’m worse. It’s frustrating. It’s not like my doctor doesn’t believe me. It’s not like my doctor…

Steroids day 1

Steroids day 1

Well unfortunately the nurse didn’t get here until after 6pm. I had a heating pad on my arm from 3 on because they said they’d be back by then. I get things happen but why can’t you have the common curtesy to call and let someone know. I ended up burning myself I didn’t feel anything. This morning the marks didn’t go away. It didn’t even help the stuck me twice and the veins didn’t hold. The third stick in…

A break in the clouds

A break in the clouds

I woke up early on Saturday morning. I decided to use one of my Zumba cds and exercise in my chair. I use to to stand for the entire work out. Then I’d sit for every other song. It became I’d push through standing for three songs in the beginning and sitting for the rest. Now I barely stand for one song. Yet I still do it and for that I’m proud. I knew it would take me at least…

National MS Society Invests in Clinical Development of Human Antibody for Progressive forms of MS

National MS Society Invests in Clinical Development of Human Antibody for Progressive forms of MS

Another great article found in multiple sclerosis news today by Patricia Inacio, PHD. Fast Forward, a nonprofit subsidiary of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, will invest up to $330,000 to advance the clinical development of an antibody that was shown to lessen inflammation and nerve cell damage in a multiple sclerosis (MS) mouse model. The funding will help develop the antibody (a protein the immune system uses to neutralize pathogens such as bacteria and viruses) in order to have properties more similar to those…

Anxiety and Multiple Sclerosis

Anxiety and Multiple Sclerosis

I am happy to be home. I slept a lot over the weekend. I was so tired, still am. This morning will be my first day back in the pool. I was happy to be back. Was able to do my 25 laps. I like routine and I’ve noticed that I get anxiety when I’m out of routine. I get major anxiety packing to go away which completely affects all my MS symptoms. Every time I go away somewhere, no…

Proud to be with the spirit junkies

Proud to be with the spirit junkies

Well I can certainly say today’s content is much lighter than yesterday’s. We are discussing marketing and the online presence. Hey, I got that. I write a blog. It’s all about website and blog related information. Right up my alley, no tears. Yet I walked out of the meeting pretty cranky. The room we used was so hot. Every time a window was opened, some one closed it minutes later. Here I am in a very light shirt overheating. Overheating…

I hate MS too!!!

I hate MS too!!!

People write in their journals all during this event, I blog. Partially because my penmanship isn’t so good anymore and my hand tires out and because this is where I work out my sh@t. Today was fine until the last ten minutes before lunch. We did a soul retrieval meditation where you find your inner child and hold them close, becoming their protector. Keeping them safe, loved and cared for. Bringing your inner child back into your heart. This is…

I’m getting tired of fighting

I’m getting tired of fighting

What started out as a good day ended pretty horrible. Getting the last few items together for me trip, I ended up severely exhausted. I don’t even know if exhausted is the right word. I had to get something in my daughter’s closet for her and it required me to go to the floor. I really knew this was bad because I was so tired, I just didn’t realize how bad. I couldn’t get up. I didn’t even have the…

A good nights sleep

A good nights sleep

When was the last time you had one of those? I went into bed my usual time, around 9:30. I usually watch tv a little before closing my eyes. I feel asleep and slept until 3:30 before I had to use the bathroom. That is a record for me. A long stretch. I feel back asleep and woke up at 7:30 and I was awake and refreshed not groggy and still sleepy as I have been for many mornings now….

Spirit Junkie Masterclass 2

Spirit Junkie Masterclass 2

I did something I never do, I put physical therapy with occupational therapy. This is the fatigue kind of exhausted where everything in my body is just done. I did it because I had to cancel on Friday for good reasons. I’m going away. First I’m going to parents weekend and seeing my daughter in Albany. Then I’m going to spirit junkie master class 2. I did the first class over a year ago in NYC https://multipleexperiences.org/2017/05/30/mandatory-sisters-to-voluntary-best-friends/. I wrote this…
