Starting to feel more like myself

Starting to feel more like myself

I think I’m through the worst of the infusion side effects now, more or less. I didn’t have the greatest weekend. By the end of the days my legs felt very weak. I did sleep on my chair both nights. Thankfully I did because Saturday night, without my water pill, I was still up every two hours to use the bathroom. My legs would have been too weak to get me up and down into my bed. I made the…

How do you feel after an infusion?

How do you feel after an infusion?

It’s funny because all my complaining last week about NOT getting my infusion leads to this: I feel awful. Please, please give me my medicine. Pump me up with all this shit so I can feel lousy. kind of makes you wonder what the hell I was I fighting for. All anxiety for four days straight. All so I could feel horrible. Rituxan Infusion Finally Done but still wasn’t smooth. It never fails someone always asks me, does it…

Once again a problem with my infusion

Once again a problem with my infusion

You honestly can’t make this shit up. I’m sorry for cursing in line one of my blog but I am so aggravated right now I don’t even know where to start. At 8:45 my phone rings and it’s CVS pharmacy asking me when my infusion is. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????? I’m like you have got to be joking. I called three weeks ago to start this process. They were so helpful, so nice. I was on the phone for an…

Rituxan Infusion Tomorrow

Rituxan Infusion Tomorrow

I called the pharmacy first thing this morning and they reassured me that my Rituxan will be delivered first thing tomorrow morning. I am not going to call my infusion nurse and I’m going to hope for the best. Normally my infusions don’t go smoothly. There always seems to be a problem somewhere through the process. When the pharmacy changed I thought, great another infusion to give me agitation. Then it was all arranged weeks in advance. I was shocked….

Ocrevus Commercial

Ocrevus Commercial

I never watch TV through my TV carrier. I always watch through my Firecube. No matter what it is, unless it’s something that I record, I’m never on my TV. That being said, it’s also very rare I see commercials. However I was catching up on old Bravo shows that I neither recorded or watched while they aired. On the Bravo app, there’s commercials. When you’re watching an entire season of some thing you end up watching a lot of…

Rituxan infusion scheduled in a week

Rituxan infusion scheduled in a week

I can’t believe it’s been six months already. Well I guess it has because all my reminders went off. Actually about a week after my last infusion I started receiving phone calls to set up my appointment. It was crazy. Actually I thought CVS specialty pharmacy was crazy. I never used them for my Rituxan or my Ocrevus so I was so confused why they kept calling me. Sure enough another change with my insurance. Great, because those have always…

Occupational therapy in my home

Occupational therapy in my home

There’s been a lot going on this week and I’m not sure where to begin. After being traumatized this weekend, it was hard for me to even focus on everything that was happening, and a lot was happening. My new aide started on Monday, I got an OT evaluation to start that twice a week in the house, and Mikayla left. I’m also going for a urologist appointment on Friday to discuss the Botox in the bladder. I haven’t decided…

Botox for Bladder Incontinence

Botox for Bladder Incontinence

I had a comment yesterday by Mary suggesting Botox for my many trips and accidents with the bathroom the other night. Waking up to use the bathroom all night long. I’ve heard of this treatment option but I’ve never looked into it for the one thing she mentioned, you have to self catheterize. Patty concurred with that comment this morning too. However, Mary started me thinking. I would love not having accidents anymore. I would love to stop worrying every…

End of summer marks next Rituxan infusion

End of summer marks next Rituxan infusion

Is summer over yet? I’m ready to put on my oversized sweatshirt. It doesn’t matter that I stay indoors with AC the humidity penetrates to my bones. I know this question was asked by Steve over at MSich Chronicles http://msichchronicles.blog/2020/07/29/evansville-heat/, but how do people with MS live in hot, humid places? I’m in countdown mode until I can officially say its Fall. Right around the time of my next Rituxan infusion. For any new readers, I switched back to Rituxan…

Really good multiple sclerosis research news

Really good multiple sclerosis research news

This is the best news article I’ve come along in a long time. It was titled: ‘Holy Grail’ MS discovery could prevent disability using diabetes drug For the first time in ages this talks about stopping the disability not reducing relapses. https://www.sciencefocus.com/news/holy-grail-ms-discovery-could-prevent-disability-using-diabetes-drug/ In MS, the protective coating surrounding nerves known as myelin is damaged causing them to become less energy efficient which makes them vulnerable to further damage and causes disability over time, the MS Society said. < p style=”box-sizing: inherit; margin:…
