What’s happening in Multiple Experiences world

What’s happening in Multiple Experiences world

I’m doing a lot better with my new wheelchair now. I don’t love everything about the chair but I am consistently using it now. It turns horribly, I hate that. It is also difficult if you maneuver wrong and hit a wall. You can’t just do a simple correction. You have to move forward or back still hitting the wall to maneuver yourself off the wall, if that makes sense. The wheels that move this chair are in the middle…

Botox for Bladder Incontinence

Botox for Bladder Incontinence

I had a comment yesterday by Mary suggesting Botox for my many trips and accidents with the bathroom the other night. Waking up to use the bathroom all night long. I’ve heard of this treatment option but I’ve never looked into it for the one thing she mentioned, you have to self catheterize. Patty concurred with that comment this morning too. However, Mary started me thinking. I would love not having accidents anymore. I would love to stop worrying every…

Waking up to use the bathroom all night long

Waking up to use the bathroom all night long

You know you didn’t sleep well when it’s 8:30 in the morning and your Apple Watch already has 6 hours of standing. I wasn’t feeling good this weekend, maybe the start of a cold. I’m not sneezing but I feel congested especially in my chest. I’ve once again resorted to my oregano oil and breath oils. I feel slightly better today but a good nights sleep would have certainly helped. That did not happen. Instead I was up every two…

Singing the song It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy

Singing the song It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy

Not one of my better nights sleeping. I think I was up most of the night. Everything hurts. I hate that feeling. My headache isn’t helping either. I woke up sneezing so I immediately guzzled down some oregano oil. I just feel blah. I worked out and even that didn’t help. Usually bringing on a sweat helps a little but not today. I was disappointed in my heart rate and felt it didn’t register accurately. That in turn made me…

I’m taking a poll on napping

I’m taking a poll on napping

Amazon’s been promoting shark week on discovery channel for a while now. However, now the promo is Tyson versus jaws, rumble on the reef. Is this really what we’ve lowered ourselves to? I actually like shark week. They’ve actually had some really interesting programs. I think my stepdad’s told me it is the longest running cable event in history. Do really need to be promoting it alongside Mike Tyson in his boxing gloves? OK, maybe it’s just me. It is…

Sleeping, cooking and birthday wishes

Sleeping, cooking and birthday wishes

I slept yesterday for 8 hours straight. No bathroom breaks. I can’t even remember the last time that happened. Eight hours of straight, uninterrupted sleep. I didn’t believe it was possible anymore. I wonder if my new heating/ac unit had anything to do with it. Probably not since I don’t think that has any effect on the bladder. I’ve been so tired. I don’t even want to write about it anymore. The topic itself I find exhausting. I rather talk…

End of summer marks next Rituxan infusion

End of summer marks next Rituxan infusion

Is summer over yet? I’m ready to put on my oversized sweatshirt. It doesn’t matter that I stay indoors with AC the humidity penetrates to my bones. I know this question was asked by Steve over at MSich Chronicles http://msichchronicles.blog/2020/07/29/evansville-heat/, but how do people with MS live in hot, humid places? I’m in countdown mode until I can officially say its Fall. Right around the time of my next Rituxan infusion. For any new readers, I switched back to Rituxan…

Moments of my weekend

Moments of my weekend

This was a weekend of great ideas and completely mindless moments. I thought I’d share them all for you: I pulled a muscle in my butt. In my stronger leg. I was stretching in a simple position. As soon as I pulled the leg up, I felt it. No big deal except, this is normally the favored leg to push myself up to stand with. That move is freaking painful. However, I kind of don’t have a choice. It has…

Something good about insurance

Something good about insurance

I spoke with my case manager for my insurance today. Before Covid started, I had a really wonderful case manager. Every month she’d call and check in, as per her job description, but she always made me feel like she genuinely cared. She remembered things about me not necessarily related to my medical case. Then one day she was just gone. I didn’t know if Covid was the reason for the change, if she quit or left, I just had…

Really good multiple sclerosis research news

Really good multiple sclerosis research news

This is the best news article I’ve come along in a long time. It was titled: ‘Holy Grail’ MS discovery could prevent disability using diabetes drug For the first time in ages this talks about stopping the disability not reducing relapses. https://www.sciencefocus.com/news/holy-grail-ms-discovery-could-prevent-disability-using-diabetes-drug/ In MS, the protective coating surrounding nerves known as myelin is damaged causing them to become less energy efficient which makes them vulnerable to further damage and causes disability over time, the MS Society said. < p style=”box-sizing: inherit; margin:…
