The inauguration is today. I’m hoping there is peace around the country. I have never watched an inauguration in my 49 years on this earth. I hated politics. It is the one area I purposely remained ignorant about. Over the past 6 years or so, prior to the last presidential election, I started paying more attention. I’m still far from an expert in the workings of our government but I certainly have created an opinion. Republican or Democrat there are serious problems in the way our government works. When did it stop being about “we the people”?

So what happens now? Election is over, new president is in the White House now what? Do we heal? Do we forgive? Do we move forward? Does the divide get worse and take on a life of its own?

I guess we will have to see what this President will bring. I hope that things move peacefully. That’s all I can say.
