A day in the life with multiple sclerosis.
Let’s talk medication side effects

Let’s talk medication side effects

Good morning. It’s a beautiful sunny morning here, the calm before the storm. The snow is coming tomorrow afternoon through Thursday morning. I have no where to be so I’m all good. Looking forward to watching the first snow fall of the year even though the majority will fall overnight. I have been wanting to discuss medications for the longest time. I take a lot of pills each day due to my multiple sclerosis and because of my migraines, which…

Happy Monday Morning

Happy Monday Morning

Happy Monday morning. Slightly dreary here with light rain and cloudy skies but that’s ok, I’m not outside. I heard we may be having our first snowstorm this week. I’m not sure what the current predictions are but I do love the snow. Granted I become even more trapped in my home when snow falls because wheelchairs don’t like snow piles or sheets of ice. I don’t even mind because I’m mostly home anyway and everything delivers. I love the…

It is always something

It is always something

Happy Friday. The sun is out and even though it is cold outside, my condo feels nice and comfortable from the way the sun hits the windows. I just set up my pills for the next two weeks. A daunting task but I’m always happy when I don’t have to arrange them for a while. I’m going out briefly to get my hair colored after I missed the appointment last week due to my wheelchair. Ugh frustrated The wheelchair which…

What would you change?

What would you change?

My physical therapist is a huge Beatles fan. I’m talking huge, on the level of Beatle fan trivia champion. I’m not sure if that is such a thing but if it was, he could give a run for the title. I can appreciate that level of fan fanatic since I was one for U2 back in my heyday. I thankfully have calmed down with that obsession but I was off the charts for a few decades. We were talking yesterday…

80’s item to solve current day MS issue

80’s item to solve current day MS issue

Another night of interrupted sleep. You know it was a bad night when you already have 6 boxes of stand credit on your Apple Watch that just reset at 12am. I was up every other hour to use the bathroom. The only time I actually slept longer than two hours was from 6:30-9. I wish someone could explain that one to me. I don’t drink a lot at bedtime. I didn’t even use the bathroom that frequently during the day….

Multiple sclerosis issues at non opportune times

Multiple sclerosis issues at non opportune times

today is going much better than yesterday. I even stayed in bed a little longer today which was nice. Then I got a whole Lotta Lovin from my puppies. I got up, fed everybody, brushed my teeth and worked out. I did my flexibility stuff and then finished yesterday’s workout. That always makes me happy . Not that I really doubted myself, but I’m glad I finished it. I don’t like things done halfway. Now I’m back on my…

New Apple Watch fitness suggestions

New Apple Watch fitness suggestions

I have a bond to pick with my Apple Watch. In the fitness settings there should be a track for disabled. That track should be worth double of that of a person who is well because each move for me is 10 times harder. My heart rate tracker I’ll never understand, I’m huffing and puffing and it’s saying like 109. I think as someone disabled I should be earning double the calories burned as well as earning double the time…

Happiness is two dogs and a comfy chair

I’m exhausted. I just can’t start this blog any other way. I’ve been tired all week, shocking, I know. I think a major part of my fatigue has been the broken arms of my wheelchair. It was so difficult to get myself in position with that broken arm. I had my appointment yesterday. They were coming between the hours of 12-4. They showed up at 6:45. I was just so thankful they came I didn’t care what time it was….
