Remaining hopeful it will help the spasticity

Remaining hopeful it will help the spasticity

Inconclusive. My bladder test was inconclusive. They said that the sample contained bacteria in their that couldn’t have come from the urine alone. I was thrilled I got urine in the cup. That was a challenge in itself for someone with multiple sclerosis and bladder issues. I even was able to use the little handy wipe they give you before you give the sample. I was so proud of myself that day. So much for that gold star. Thank goodness…

Murphy’s Law

Murphy’s Law

I’m so glad this week is over. This week was tough. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, but dumb shit. Like knocking things over, my Apple Watch not working for a day, my Bionic Gym stopped working, the new coffee pot was delayed in delivery, and forgetting things I had planned. It was just one thing after another everyday this week. I’m exhausted. I have had a migraine for 3 days now and although today is much quieter than…

Infusion or no sleep is kicking my ass

Infusion or no sleep is kicking my ass

I haven’t slept well for two nights now. I spent the first night with those belly issues and last night with bladder issues. I was using the bathroom every hour. I honestly think this was somehow related to the infusion. I have had nights where I’ve used the bathroom frequently but every hour is something that is a rarity. Yet that was my night. This is the second day in a row that I’ve hit my 12 hours of stand,…

Today is a new day

Today is a new day

Yesterday was not such a great day. I wasn’t even able to get through my workout. I was interrupted by a trip to the bathroom that unfortunately showed my fatigue. I must give myself credit here because we all know I usually push instead of stopping. Persistent isn’t always a good thing. I had physical therapy later in the day and I did some walking. However I hit fatigue fairly quickly with that too. Things went downhill from there. The…

Tests. Doctors, tests, doctors and more appointments

Tests. Doctors, tests, doctors and more appointments

I already received a call from my doctor this morning, MRI showed no new activity and my normal MS abnormalities. Exactly as expected. Like I said yesterday in my blog I haven’t shown anything on my MRI in years. I continue to get worse because I’m secondary progressive MS. Read the post on Dr. Krieger’s pool theory for further explanation. https://multipleexperiences.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=5174&action=edit. Well at least that’s done for the year. I also made an appointment to have a sonogram done on…

Great sleep feeling good

Great sleep feeling good

The most amazing thing happened yesterday, I slept through the night. I’m not talking about until 5 AM, I’m talking about not getting up until 8:30 AM to first use the bathroom. I don’t think that has happened to me once in the last 15 years. I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t even about to have an accident as I emerged from my bed. I was in total bladder control. It was like a miracle, a gift from the universe….

Urologist visit

Urologist visit

I went to the urologist on Friday to discuss Botox in the bladder. The last of the week trip to urologist Botox for the bladder. What a genuinely honest and patient doctor this was. He came in and knew that I needed questions answered and was prepared to sit and talk. Not only was that nice of a doctor in general but it was nice of a doctor during these times with Covid. He was very honest when he answered and…

The last of the week trip to urologist Botox for the bladder

It’s Friday, this was such a long week I am very happy to be here. I couldn’t imagine having to work. I’m dreading driving and I only have to go down the block today. This week has definitely been an abnormal week for me. Starting with my traumatizing weekend The horrible weekend tale. Multiple Sclerosis at it’s worst, A new aid My new aide, PT therapy Occupational therapy in my home and today is the urologist. Compared to other weeks,…

Bladder issues

Bladder issues

I’m not sure what exactly is going on with my bladder these days. I know I have issues, had them for years, but they’ve seemed somewhat worse over the last few weeks. I am not sure if I don’t have some kind of bladder infection. The problem is that is varies day to day, something bladder infection tend not to do. However between my water pills and Toviaz, who knows. Urinary tract infections don’t always cause signs and symptoms, but…

Making my disability work in new environments

Making my disability work in new environments

Not a bad place to be to write a blog post. It is a rare morning because it is actually only my sister and myself awake at this moment. She is in one chair reading her book with a cup of tea, I’m in the other with writing with a cup of coffee. It is so beautiful up here. She lives about 2 1/2 hours away from me in upstate New York. If we continued another 45 minutes we’d be…
