I’m back….

I’m back….

In the hospital that is. I was home a total of 5 days before I ended up once again in these too familiar surroundings. It started the day after I got home. I actually slid off my bed onto my stool. From there I couldn’t stand up. I had to have EMS come and get me off floor. A great beginning to being home from the hospital. That day I was spent from doing anything else. I never got out…

Bladder Hesitancy

Bladder Hesitancy

I’ve written so many blogs about my numerous “accidents” but I never discuss the other way. I actually experience both of them which is why Botox wasn’t an option for me. I dealt with hesitancy long before I dealt with the urgency and the accidents. What is urinary hesitancy mean? If you have trouble starting to urinate or maintaining urine flow, you may have urinary hesitancy. If you ever experienced hesitancy you know how it feels. Your bladder is full,…

Let’s talk medication side effects

Let’s talk medication side effects

Good morning. It’s a beautiful sunny morning here, the calm before the storm. The snow is coming tomorrow afternoon through Thursday morning. I have no where to be so I’m all good. Looking forward to watching the first snow fall of the year even though the majority will fall overnight. I have been wanting to discuss medications for the longest time. I take a lot of pills each day due to my multiple sclerosis and because of my migraines, which…

So I finally got did the kidney sonogram yesterday. I decided not to start drinking the water until I left the house for the appointment. The appointment was at 2:30 I left my house about 2 o’clock. Tests. Doctors, tests, doctors and more appointments

Tests. Doctors, tests, doctors and more appointments

I already received a call from my doctor this morning, MRI showed no new activity and my normal MS abnormalities. Exactly as expected. Like I said yesterday in my blog I haven’t shown anything on my MRI in years. I continue to get worse because I’m secondary progressive MS. Read the post on Dr. Krieger’s pool theory for further explanation. https://multipleexperiences.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=5174&action=edit. Well at least that’s done for the year. I also made an appointment to have a sonogram done on…

Urologist visit

Urologist visit

I went to the urologist on Friday to discuss Botox in the bladder. The last of the week trip to urologist Botox for the bladder. What a genuinely honest and patient doctor this was. He came in and knew that I needed questions answered and was prepared to sit and talk. Not only was that nice of a doctor in general but it was nice of a doctor during these times with Covid. He was very honest when he answered and…

Medical Marijuana and MS Bladder Issues

Medical Marijuana and MS Bladder Issues

Today I post a fairly simple question, has anybody used medical marijuana and had a positive effect on your bladder incontinence? I know in the past when I’ve used marijuana one of the better side effects for me, was it caused a hesitancy in my bladder. I can have this sometimes in the middle of the night when I can’t get my muscles to release right away to use the bathroom. The other time has happened was after using marijuana….

The daily life and experiences with multiple sclerosis

The daily life and experiences with multiple sclerosis

Yesterday was a bad day. First my doctor visit went as expected,  which was nowhere. What I mean, is that not much could be done at this point, my symptoms are treated symptomatically. He doesn’t really think  that I’m experiencing an MS hug, I don’t even think he really understood what an MS hug was. He’s been my doctor for 19 years and for the first time ever, I was a little shocked. Especially since the first thing we were…

Bladder problems and Multiple Sclerosis

Bladder problems and Multiple Sclerosis

Could I honestly have MS for 18 years and never discuss a symptom that will eventually effect 80% of people with MS. Let’s start with basic urology lessons of what a healthy bladder does when functioning correctly. We make urine in our kidneys that travels down two tubes called ureters to the bladder, an elastic sac that holds urine. When all is good and working right as the urine is stored the sac expands. When it expands nerves in the…
