Trip to the neurologist

Trip to the neurologist

I am going to my neurologist today. I needed a form filled out by him that has to be within 30 days of my last appointment. Of course my last appointment was in the beginning of July so I had to come in again. Yet this probably isn’t a bad thing because I can once again address the exhaustion. I felt so tired yesterday I got into my bed around 6. My body was just so tired I couldn’t fight…

Me and my wheelchair

Me and my wheelchair

I made it!!! Another summer survived. I’m ready for my jeans and sweatshirts. Im ready to turn off the AC. I’m ready to open my balcony windows and let the crisp air in through the condo. I’m ready to snuggle under warm blankets. I did ok this summer mainly because of my van and wheelchair. I couldn’t have done most things without the use of my wheelchair. Thankfully my van provides me with that ability to be mobile and safe….

Yesterday, today and tomorrow

Yesterday, today and tomorrow

I went out yesterday for the first time this week. I went to mahjong. I almost canceled and I’m so glad I didn’t because as always it was so fun. I did have a tough day and at times I thought I was going to completely collapse over the table. I just couldn’t hold myself up but then the strangest thing happened. About 30 minutes before the game ended I felt better. Like I could sit up straight without falling…

Bike MS

Bike MS

This is my step brother’s 11 year biking for MS. He bikes in my name and for so many others that suffer from the disease. I received his email this morning and as always he fills my heart with love because of his fundraising efforts and the fact he does this in my name every year. 11 years of hard work – and 7 years of top fundraising efforts. And all thanks to you. Every year, donors like you have…

Bed day 2

Bed day 2

Since yesterday didn’t quite work out as I wanted I’m trying again today. Got my fur babies close. I haven’t worked out since Monday. Giving my body the break it needs. Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep more and the phone won’t ring all day like it did yesterday. This is all part of having MS and I understand that. It is a difficult part of the disease but I’m doing what I can. I’m a MS warrior like so…

Staying in bed

Staying in bed

Writing this from the comfort of my bed. I am hoping a day in bed recharged my batteries. I know it might not help but I am going to stay in bed anyway. Unfortunately I was woken up at 8am from my security booth with another aid appearing at my house. Made no sense and was severely aggravated by the mistake. After 10 phone calls the situation was handled but I had to be woken up to fix it all….

Not feeling good

Not feeling good

I’m just having a tough couple of days. I am just so tired and my body isn’t recovering yet. I hate this feeling but I can’t even complain. I haven’t felt like this in a long, long time when my energy is drained for so many days in a row. It is a horrible feeling but I do have the means now to make things easier for me. Yesterday I did manage to do my Turbo Jam Beachbody workout. I…

The energy tank is empty

The energy tank is empty

I have nothing left this week. I’m just drained of all my energy. No spoons left, no reserve and no choice. We are picking up my daughter’s new car this morning so I’m up, dressed and ready to go again. I am sure it will be at least an hour signing all the paperwork and driving myself home again. Tonight is a family dinner before she leaves for school. I need a down day, I need a few down days….

My daughter’s dying car

My daughter’s dying car

My daughter is leaving to go back to school on Sunday. Her boyfriend is a mechanic and took her car for an oil change, tire rotation and to look at the transmission which has been giving her problems for a bit. Never really telling anyone else that the problem existed, after she got the car back, the problem was worse. With her about to leave for school I made her take her car in to transmission looked at. Sure enough…

Swimming to music

Swimming to music

I was told about an underwater MP3 player I could wear while swimming by my friend Dix over at https://www.wheniswimfoundation.com/. Originally he told me about the Finis Duo which I bought but never used. I returned it for the sole reason it was a little pricey and I saw something that cost a lot less. I wanted to try that first. I bought the SYRYN which was half the price. . The reviews were even better than the Finis. The…
