Sleeping, cooking and birthday wishes
I slept yesterday for 8 hours straight. No bathroom breaks. I can’t even remember the last time that happened. Eight hours of straight, uninterrupted sleep. I didn’t believe it was possible anymore. I wonder if my new heating/ac unit had anything to do with it. Probably not since I don’t think that has any effect on the bladder.
I’ve been so tired. I don’t even want to write about it anymore. The topic itself I find exhausting. I rather talk about the great smells coming from my kitchen. My aid is busy cooking for me. She’s making my vegetable pot pie, roasted cauliflower casserole Forks over Knives Roasted Cauliflower and Quinoa Casserole and a butternut squash and black bean bisque. Even though my eyes are burning from the onions, my house smells so good. This is what I’ll miss the most when my aid leaves. She follows recipe directions well, doesn’t need me in the kitchen supervising each step. Truthfully that part is not only tiring but stressful. My aid now knows where everything is kept in my house. A new aid won’t and I’m sure I’ll have a few new aids before I find a steady one. Sigh.
Today is one of my oldest friends birthday. I’m baking her a virtual cake.
I’ve known her since I was 15 years old. That was 33 years ago. OMG. We met in summer camp. We kept our friendship together all these years and she lives in another country people. That is a BIG deal because for most of our friendship there were no cell phones. Today she turns 49. I just wanted to give her a shout out and say Happy Birthday. Love you.
