A day in the life with multiple sclerosis.
Happy 22nd anniversary multiple sclerosis

Happy 22nd anniversary multiple sclerosis

22 years ago started my second multiple sclerosis relapse that lead to my diagnosis five days later. My first was optic neuritis but by itself had no name. It was 6 months later on Valentine’s Day weekend when I moved into my new house and my left side started to go numb. What started in my foot quickly traveled through my entire left side up to my face. I had difficulty walking, muscle atrophy and numbness that would never fully…

GoodRx for prescriptions

GoodRx for prescriptions

Since I’ve been suffering through another extreme bout of MS fatigue I tried to figure out what I could do for myself. I know I was out of my prescription Adderall for a couple days, but could that really bring on fatigue so extreme? I don’t believe it was working that well plus this fatigue has been coming on for weeks. I’ve been feeling run down long before the last few days. I was denied by my insurance Provigil, which…

Smiling through exhaustion

Smiling through exhaustion

Back to feeling rundown again. Spent yesterday morning in bed with a migraine. Migraine is gone but I’m still exhausted. I went into bed before 9pm yesterday and slept straight through until 4:30am. That is a record. I went back to sleep and woke up at 8:44. I had to take my car in first thing this morning otherwise I might have spent another morning in bed. This is a rough feeling as anyone with multiple sclerosis can tell you….

Dr. Pimple Popper

Dr. Pimple Popper

Everyone has been talking about Dr. Pimple Popper so I finally tried it out. Everything everyone said was right, it is so gross but you can’t look away. I watch and my stomach is quesy yet I put on another episode. Makes me not so worried about my fungus that doesn’t hurt and keeps well hidden by socks. Some of the things people live with is unbelievable. I almost appreciate having multiple sclerosis which has worldwide recognition for research and…

Dinner and a movie

Dinner and a movie

This couch potato found a fellow couch potato friend right in my building. Through the activities I do in my condo I made friends. Lovely people that I can call and socialize with weekly. This was another aspect of living in a condo that I was hoping for that actually came to be. I met a lot of these people in the game day club set up for those that are retired or don’t work anymore. I was a little…

Defensive driving course for wheelchairs

Defensive driving course for wheelchairs

My daughter always says I can’t drive. She doesn’t mean my car, she is talking about my wheelchair. I have had a few mishaps and rolled over a few feet and possibly a paw or two. In my defense they weren’t paying attention to my lack of direction and could have moved out of the way faster. However looking around my condo, I might see evidence to support her argument…. I didn’t even take pictures of the kitchen and the…

Intermittent Fasting 18 months later

Intermittent Fasting 18 months later

Sometimes I’m amazed when I look at my stats to see which blogs are still popular getting consistent hits. Like this one on Intermittent Fasting two months later https://multipleexperiences.org/2018/08/31/intermittent-fasting-2-months-later/. This blog was written in August of 2018. However it wasn’t the popularity of the blog that struck me it was the date I wrote the blog because I STILL EAT THIS WAY!!!! Wow that’s along time and this blog was written two months later. I actually started eating the intermittent…

Physical therapy, physically exhausting

Physical therapy, physically exhausting

I had my first physical therapy appointment of the year yesterday after my occupational therapy. I knew I’d be exhausted after but I completely underestimated how exhausted I’d actually be. It took me hours to be able to move out of my chair when I got home. Hours!!!! I’m working with a new therapist. She is very nice but she is going to be tough. No different then the other girls I’ve worked with but the difference is she is…

Les Millis Bodyjam Workout

I’m setting up my blog the night before because tomorrow I start my double therapy sessions. First day back in physical therapy so I’m a little scared. Scared because I know it will be hard. On another note, I am always looking for fun new workouts that I can revise to work for me in a chair. I love dance workouts like Cize or Rockin Abs both from Shaun T on Beachbody. I have figured out how to bop in…
