Bionic Gym Comparison

Bionic Gym Comparison

Hi everyone, happy hump day. I’ve been wanting to do this comparison of workouts for so long. I did my typical workout. https://youtu.be/qbFvZEPTXDk. This is from Adapt to Perform. He has so many great workouts on his channel. Each workout is for wheelchair users being he is also confined to a wheelchair. The one I posted above is my go to workout routine 2-3 times a week. I repeat this three times when I do it for a total of…

Why I Chose Bionic Gym

Why I Chose Bionic Gym

I wanted to share the link to my Facebook event for Bionic Gym. https://www.facebook.com/100050572295847/videos/681628466987768 I just love Bionic Gym. I’ve been talking about it since day one of using the gym. I was planning on showing you my Apple Watch stats for two of my workouts days I talk about in the Facebook video. First the workout where I just let it run until the battery dies. This is the one I do nothing to increase my heart rate. The…

Meet me on Facebook Saturday

Meet me on Facebook Saturday

I’m so excited to be able to share this with everyone. I am doing a live session about Bionic Gym. I am doing this with the founder and creator of Bionic Gym, Dr. Louis Crowe. I have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to personally talk to Dr Crowe on a few occasions. He responded to me after I made a video for Bionic Gym customer support. I have loved Bionic Gym from the day I received it,…

Never Give Up

Never Give Up

I am still making shocking improvements. I walked my hallway in PT. I haven’t done that since last year. https://multipleexperiences.org/2021/06/18/walking-again/. I at one point had a goal to not use the wheelchair in the condo anymore. As much as I would like to believe this is still an attainable goal, it is far down on my goal list. I was amazed I have been able to walk again at all. It took almost 30 minutes to walk roughly 50 feet,…

Too much emphasis on PT

Too much emphasis on PT

I didn’t write it but looking back at my episode with physical therapy last week https://multipleexperiences.org/2022/04/22/breathing-issues/, may have been a panic attack. It seems that this week things aren’t going much better. I was able to stand right up on Sunday. I got into my wheelchair. I ate dinner at the table for the first time in ages. The next day I couldn’t stand up during physical therapy. This was the third visit that I felt was wasted. Medicare only…

High heart rate

High heart rate

I am very slowly getting some strength. The key word there is slowly. I knew I would need to have a lot of patience. I just thought maybe there would be a little muscle memory. Unfortunately, my problem was because of muscle atrophy, not muscle weakness. It is not so easy to rebuild muscle 24 years into your multiple sclerosis life. I couldn’t maintain the muscle I had before I ended up in the hospital. My disability always got worse…

Avoiding brain mush

Avoiding brain mush

I have been expanding my mind. I am still watching mindless television but playing games too. I play dordle and wordle online daily. I even downloaded an app to play wordle throughout the day. I also love Sudoku. I’m good at them too. I play the hard or expert levels. It can take me an hour to play an expert game. I love the challenge. I just want everyone to know I am not completely wasting my brain away. I…

A lump in the bed

A lump in the bed

My life has changed a lot in the past few months. I went from independent to completely dependent. I can’t do the simplest of things anymore. I can’t just get in my wheelchair and open the refrigerator for my ice coffee. I can’t just grab a sweatshirt from my closet. Hell I can’t even fix my sock when it gets turned around on my foot. A very big pet peeve of mine. I was limited in my dependence prior to…

Exercise, standing and Bionic Gym

Exercise, standing and Bionic Gym

I am very weak. My legs can’t hold me up for long. PT has been working on just getting me up and standing. I never thought something so simple would be so hard. Let me tell you, it is so hard. I try to sway back and forth shifting my weight as I hold onto a walker. I had to sit down again because I have no endurance. One day I was able to get back up once. The other…

Monday morning again…

Monday morning again…

We arrived at Monday once again. I feel like I am on a fast track through these days, weeks, months and years. That is saying something considering most of my days are spent in front of the TV. I am far from highly stimulated most days. Yet the days are going fast. I know I’ve said this many times before. I’m sorry I’m repeating myself. I just find it amazing sometimes. I got to spend a few hours with my…
