Sometimes the dots don’t connect

Sometimes the dots don’t connect

Well you can get Covid even after you’ve been fully vaccinated. My poor sister has been feeling awful this past week. She tested positive for covid. Like so many people, me included, we’ve gotten a little lax with the mask. I don’t think the vaccinations are lasting as long as they originally thought they would. I got my booster already and I would prefer not to be doing that every few months. I do think that the vaccine need more…

Summer cold ?

Summer cold ?

June and July down, August to go. I see the end is coming. I might survive another summer. I certainly have been in hibernation thus far, going out only when it is absolutely necessary. Yet even in my isolated state I still managed to get sick. I’m the last 14 days I’ve been to a doctor, seen my sisters, played games and mahjong with my friends in the building Far from a high interactive social calendar. Yet I woke up…

Rituxan infusion setup, far from a smooth path

Rituxan infusion setup, far from a smooth path

My Rituxan infusion has once again been a complete disaster getting the necessary supplies and drugs. I would love to blame it all on CVS specialty pharmacy but my doctor’s assistant is partially to blame. What started a month ago has come down to the wire yet again. My third box of supplies has just been delivered this morning. All I can say is thankfully I know how my drug is administered. If I didn’t, this would’ve been a bigger…

My daughter is positive for Covid

My daughter is positive for Covid

My daughter came home late Sunday night. She was going to stay home for a few days because she had a small break from work. Her classes for the beginning of the week are online. She hasn’t been home since the middle of January and we missed her. I’ve been vaccinated and I gave her kisses and hugs. In all honesty, I hugged and kissed her before I was vaccinated too. A year is a longtime to not hug and…

Possible delayed Covid vaccine reaction or just Multiple Sclerosis

Possible delayed Covid vaccine reaction or just Multiple Sclerosis

I want to start this blog by saying that normally I’m a hot box. I’m wearing T-shirt’s in winter, my sweatshirt is my idea of a jacket and I normally like the air a little chilly. This hasn’t been the case this year. I’ve been cold, especially at night. I’ve been waking up having slight chills making me crank my heat in my bedroom to ridiculous temperatures. Last year I could count how many times I even turned on my…

True Love

True Love

I watched my beautiful cousin get married yesterday via internet live feed. I was able to access their wedding website and links through my Firestick internet. We were able to watch everything through my TV sitting comfortably in my living room as opposed to hunched over an iPad. My mom and stepdad came over so we could all watch together. This ceremony was far from the dream she had when she got engaged but Covid interrupted and new plans were…

Kidney sonogram completed

So I finally got did the kidney sonogram yesterday. I decided not to start drinking the water until I left the house for the appointment. The appointment was at 2:30 I left my house about 2 o’clock. Time goes by quickly and slowly

Time goes by quickly and slowly

Another Friday is here. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or because I don’t do much but these weeks go so fast. I’m not bored Most days I’m amazed at how fast the day went. I use to say the days go slow but the years go fast. Now it seems everything is speeding on by. My daughter is 21. She’s a senior in college. That alone is enough to shock me. However in an old draw…

Covid exposure

Covid exposure

I’ve been basically tucked away for the last 6 months. Limiting my outings, visits and exposure to people. I’ve lived in hibernation even when restrictions were lifted to a degree in New York. I still was exposed to the virus from the biggest germ-a-phob I know. This person was crazy about germs way before Covid came along. She would kill you if you kissed her and had a sniffle. She was sanitizing and wiping common areas way before that became…
