Happy Birthday to me

Happy Birthday to me

https://youtu.be/emapZzstxzU Another year has gone by and another number added to my years alive. I certainly am not complaining. I am actually grateful. Things were really good this year. My life was completely changed by many people, friends, family and others that barely know me contributing to my fundraiser for my van. This was at the perfect time when walking with my walker was becoming too difficult. This van gave me freedom. I was able to conserve energy that I…

Zoey has a life long knee problem

Zoey has a life long knee problem

My poor Zoey. I took her to the vet yesterday because she’s been limping on her back paw every now and then. Other times she is fine jumping and running like normal. I thought it was a strange quirk. It’s not. Her left back knee is popping out and her hopping is her actually trying to put it back in place. There is a name for it but I don’t remember it. It has something to do with the lack…

Thankful for Marshmallow and Zoey

Thankful for Marshmallow and Zoey

It is weeks like this I am so happy I have dogs. This was not my greatest week, coming off of my infusion Rituxan infusion complete, having the allergic reaction Allergic reaction to Rituxan and truthfully feeling slightly depressed and they just continued to bring a smile to my face daily. I love their unconditional love they give but I hope they feel the unconditional love I give back. When I was crabby and at a loss of patience for…

My baby girl is home

My baby girl is home

I’m so happy my girl is home. Second year of college complete and first year away from home. Academically not the greatest year but Albany University is a hard school and she tries. Socially a great year and I see such a difference in this girl. I’m so proud of her. She is turning 20 in a few weeks and I’m amazed at where the time has gone. One day she was 6 getting a second cochlear implant and now…

Zoey and Marshy’s day

Zoey and Marshy’s day

Today is an exciting day for my dogs, Zoey will explain because Marshmallow is getting too old for these shenanigans: Marshy and I woke up in our normal fashion with puppy love from mommy. This includes a whole lot of petting and belly rubbing before even getting out of bed. The only reason to get out of bed is to relieve oneself and for yum yums which mommy does as soon as she cleans up our morning business. However I…

Love is blind campaign for brachycephalic dog breeds

I saw this on a blog I follow https://doggymom.com/author/doggymomblog and had to share it with my own readers. It is about the brachycephalic breeds which include English bulldogs and French bulldogs. If you have ever seen my blog or if you haven’t my beloved first dog was an English Bulldog named Boomer that passed two years ago. I now have two lovable and snuggable French bulldogs, Zoey and Marshmallow. I love these breeds and the smushed faces but their increased…

My chunky French bulldog

My chunky French bulldog

We went for her annual yesterday and my girl gained 11 pounds this year. However last year she was very thin but still. My vet said it wasn’t terrible but we have to cut down her food and replace some with green beans so she doesn’t starve. My vet loves her. We have been at my veterinarian for my dogs since my Boomer was 1. She loved him too. On a side note She was amazed by how good his…

My French bulldogs

My French bulldogs

I love these two dogs. They are such great companions with each other and for me. I’m home a lot with a chronic illness. It can seem like a lonely life to some. However, it really isn’t and that’s partly because of them. They make me smile all day so today I wanted to be grateful for my Marshmallow and Zoey.
