Covid vaccination

First UK varied strain of Covid was detected in New York yesterday. They say this strain is more contagious than the original Covid that is still spreading everywhere. Thankfully this new strain doesn’t seem to make the conditions of the virus any worse than it already is. And happy new year to you too….. NY has a website to see if your eligible to get the vaccine. When you go on they ask for your name, address, telephone, email and…

My birthday is in November so I like that whole line of October toward. I love when the season starts to change and I can break out my sweatshirts for the first time. Dedicated to Boomer

Dedicated to Boomer

I am dedicating today’s blog to the first dog I had the privilege of bringing into my home. Tomorrow on Christmas Day marks four years since he has passed. My Boomer was my everything and I was heartbroken when he passed. A piece of my heart is still missing. I love actually adore all my dogs but Boomer was special. I never experienced that kind of sadness until he passed. I can still get choked up about it to this…

Spreading holiday joy

Spreading holiday joy

I went around my building yesterday spreading Holiday Joy. Every year I buy Mrs Prindable apples to give as gifts for the holiday season. This year I decided to give them to my friends in my building and some other people that are around me. I had my gifts for the people that work in the condo, my apples, my mask and out I went to spread joy. I didn’t call ahead to say I’d be coming so I was…

My aide is back and helpful tips from my Aunt

My aide is back and helpful tips from my Aunt

Hello again, it is once again Monday. I’m very happy to say my aide will be here today. Unfortunately, it will take me some time to recover from the last week doing it mostly alone. Even having food prepared and only doing what I absolutely had to do, it was a rough week. There is a reason I have an aide. I sometimes feel like it is really just to babysit me but truth is the amount of energy it…

My review of the massage gun

My review of the massage gun

I have to talk about my purchase of the massage gun. A massage gun for spasticity. I wanted one for some time but kept putting it off. They weren’t cheap. I kept thinking is they’d be like those massagers you got at drugstore that you used for a week and never used it again. These are NOT the ones sold at the drugstore. I learned that really fast. First thing these are super powerful. I have not had the power…

Not exactly a snowstorm

Not exactly a snowstorm

An uneventful snowfall, as they said it would be, for my area. Not the blanket I was hoping to wake up to but pretty I guess. I was watching this car for a bit as it’s tires kept spinning. He was unable to find traction to get out of the lot. o I learned the hard way that the same traction need holds true for wheelchairs. Any snow or worse ice and my wheelchair can easily get stuck. A patch…

Mid week review

Mid week review

Well the major snowstorm that is going to pound the northeast is going to leave significantly less on part of Long Island. I’m located in that part. We should only see 3-5 inches by the end. We will get the sleet mixed with rain making for a more snowy mess than a beautiful snowy blanket. Oh well. I still haven’t had my aide so it’s been just me holding my own. I’m doing ok. I of course haven’t been able…

It is always something

It is always something

Happy Friday. The sun is out and even though it is cold outside, my condo feels nice and comfortable from the way the sun hits the windows. I just set up my pills for the next two weeks. A daunting task but I’m always happy when I don’t have to arrange them for a while. I’m going out briefly to get my hair colored after I missed the appointment last week due to my wheelchair. Ugh frustrated The wheelchair which…

80’s item to solve current day MS issue

80’s item to solve current day MS issue

Another night of interrupted sleep. You know it was a bad night when you already have 6 boxes of stand credit on your Apple Watch that just reset at 12am. I was up every other hour to use the bathroom. The only time I actually slept longer than two hours was from 6:30-9. I wish someone could explain that one to me. I don’t drink a lot at bedtime. I didn’t even use the bathroom that frequently during the day….
