The reality of my situation

The reality of my situation

It’s been four days that I have owned the condo. However it’s only been three days that my new scooter has been in my condo. I have to admit it, life is a lot easier in the scooter. I’m getting tired doing the walking. Every day is a struggle and it’s just getting harder and harder. My steps are getting slower and slower. I do the simplest task and I am just completely wiped out. Then I have to walk…

Me and my dogs

Me and my dogs

It’s Friday again. That was fast. These weeks seem to be speeding up. Could you believe Christmas is a week from Monday?Didn’t we just say it’s the last month of the year? In 16 days is the new year. On Monday, Zoey, my French Bulldog, will be with us for a year already. Unfortunately, Christmas Day, marks a full year that my Boomer, my 70 pound English bulldog, has been gone a full year. One happy and one sad. My…

Not losing weight and no answers why…

Not losing weight and no answers why…

Very frustrating. I’ve now done two separate blood work tests and no answers. The bloodwork my neurologist requested showed six different deficiencies in all my B cells which was expected. That’s what Ocrevus, my main medicine for MS, is suppose to do. The rest of the panel including my thyroid was fine. Two days later bloodwork was drawn from my OB/GYN. Here I was checking to see if I was possibly in pre-menopause. When she called me she informed me…

I own a condo

I own a condo

Technically I don’t own it,  but it’s mine. But I happy day it was. I’m sharing my picture which I normally would never do because it’s not a flattering shot at the smile on my face was pure joy. This is my mom and my stepdad with me. They were just as happy. It was exciting to go to the condo with my own set of keys and open the door and see this…. My own blank slate. It was…

It’s TODAY

It’s TODAY

oh my God it’s today, we close on the condo. We all meet at 10 o’clock this morning and by 11 o’clock, I will have the keys to my new place. It’s so surreal. I was there yesterday to do the walk-through and it was basically clean but there was still some stuff laying around. Today when I come in will be my blank slate. Today I’ll see the condo for the first time with absolutely nothing there. I’m so…

An attempted bombing in NYC

An attempted bombing in NYC

BREAKING: Attempted bombing in NYC subway at Port Authority bus terminal on 42 & 8. The suspected perp is the only injury. My daughter was much calmer in her text to me this morning, There was a bombing on 42 street station so we couldn’t go through it. I know that there are over 8 million people living in NYC but I worry about mainly a handful of people. My daughter being the one I worry about the most. I…

Snowfall and Multiple Sclerosis

Snowfall and Multiple Sclerosis

The first snow is supposed to fall today in New York. I always loved the snow. I never liked driving in it but I loved to look at it. I love when it’s quiet and everything is white. You look outside the street the world just seems transformed and peaceful. Everything appears so different. However after that snow, what a mess. There are huge piles of snow because the plows. There are always parking spots that are taken because of…

Weight watchers new program

Weight watchers new program

I’ve been on weight watchers now for over a month, I’ve lost a total of a pound. I’d love to explain what was going on, but I can’t. I’d lose one week and gain the next week. I’ve been tracking my food, staying away from sugar, and not cheating. There’s no answer to what’s happening. In all honesty, it’s one of the reasons I stopped being vegan. I really thought I was gaining weight because I was eating too many…

Oops…that kind of day

Oops…that kind of day

You ever have those kind of days where everything falls, things break, or everything just seems to not go right? That’s my day went yesterday. It wasn’t things that I did necessarily. It wasn’t my MS and my hands couldn’t hold something, something that happens often. It was different things around me. It was going to the doctor and having to sit there after they change my appointment from 2:30 to 1:30 and I ended up not being seen until…

And how are you?

And how are you?

One of the greatest things about my blog, is the feedback I’ve gotten from people that have known me for years. It’s the first time they really seen into my life on a daily basis. The truth is as soon as the how are you feeling question is asked, I immediately, say ok, how are you? I mean really what was I going to say to them, I had an accident today I peed my pants or or maybe I…
