High dose biotin
Since I was in the hospital, this is one of the pills that has changed. First it never made my weekly pill box, which was just a complete oversight. Second, the hospital doesn’t give that out. So I must say I haven’t correctly taken my high dose biotin for a week. It occurred to me, this morning, that this could be the reason I’m having difficulties regulating my body temperature since about Saturday. I finally started taking it again 3 times a day on Monday.
I’ve heard from many of my MS friends that they have had positive results from biotin. One has stated if helps with her walking. Another says it helps with her neuropathy pain. Many say it helps them deal with the heat. Nothing helps me deal with the heat but my sweating and overheating while sitting on a chair doing nothing isn’t an everyday symptom. It has been relatively quite, could biotin be helping that?
I know biotin has helped me. I’ve been taking it for almost 2 years now. My timed walking at the neurologist is better. My good MS days are good. When I’m strong I’m speedy. Is it all the biotin? I can’t answer that. I take many things but from what I was taking when I started the biotin, I 100% believe it is making a difference. I have many blogs you can look up to track my journey with it.
For anyone who doesn’t know about high dose biotin for MS, in short it is a high dose version of the vitamin that is in clinical trials to help the progressive form of MS. There is a very straightforward article here regarding it. https://www.healthline.com/health-news/high-dose-biotin-for-multiple-sclerosis#5
“Biotin is different than other agents,” Burnett explained. “While other approaches have been designed to work with the immune system, MD1003 is designed to preserve and support the nervous system by protecting its oligodendrocytes and neurons.”
I order my biotin from Ace pharmacy. You can click on the orange pill bottle or the link here. https://highdosebiotin.net/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7u3Oz5er3AIViZ6fCh22-AFBEAAYAiAAEgJLEPD_BwE
