Why doesn’t fatigue ever go away?

Why doesn’t fatigue ever go away?

It’s another one of those weeks. I overdid it on Tuesday. Overdoing it consisted of sitting at a table helping family with papers and making some phone calls. Why I was so crippled from that I can never understand but I was….completely. Then the migraine started. That was just the beginning because I woke up Wednesday with the migraine and I was still exhausted. My aid was sick too so it was just me. I managed the day ok but…

Wednesday update

Wednesday update

First an update from the blisters and Rituxan Blisters and Rituxan. Doctor wants me to start washing all my clothes in free and clear detergents. I really could have called that one. She wants to rule out allergic reaction to any detergent regardless how long I’ve been using it. I get that understandable but the bras I’ve been wearing lately are actual bras. Like with the clasp bras. Bras I gave up on years ago because my hands can’t do…

Blisters and Rituxan

Blisters and Rituxan

I am at my doctor’s office for an appointment that has been canceled twice. Checking on those blisters that are still appearing under my breast. Blisters on breast. Allergic reaction to Rituxan. Originally deemed an allergic reaction to Rituxan because they appeared within hours of doing the infusion, they are still appearing. My neurologist was the only person who didn’t think it was a reaction to Rituxan even though it said specifically on the Rituxan site: https://www.rituxan.com/patient/starting-rituxan/rituxan-safety-information.html Severe Skin and…

Apple Watch here I come

Apple Watch here I come

Down I went. I was in the wheelchair all day. I walked with the walker for all of 5 steps before I missed stepped. I ended up smacking my head into three surfaces on the way down to land with the walker on top of me and my ass in the dogs water bowl. There I was stuck and dazed trying to roll myself over to somehow get up. That took longer than I care to admit. When I achieved…

Scary MS symptom strikes again

Scary MS symptom strikes again

I wrote a text to my mom at 5:38 that said I almost choked to death, I’m still shaking. I was certainly grateful to be able to write the text and happy to be able to write this blog. I was eating a sugar free Swedish fish and a small piece went down my throat and got stuck. I wasn’t able to cough it out at first and wasn’t able to breathe. I can’t say what happened because it was…

When MS limitations are a problem

When MS limitations are a problem

I was in a bad mood yesterday. I don’t normally have bad moods that last anymore but yesterday I did. I just didn’t snap out of it and truthfully I am not sure I wanted to. I was upset for my daughter Love to my daughter which certainly set the stage for my day but then just little things got to me. Dumb things. The phone constantly ringing drove me nuts. An email I was answering disappeared. My favorite shirt…

Metro article: We believe we can stop MS, and this is how

Came across this exciting article about repairing myelin yesterday and I wanted to share. https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/09/can-stop-multiple-sclerosis-10875070/?ito=article.amp.share.top.email Twenty-five years ago there were no treatments for multiple sclerosis (MS) – a neurological condition that affects more than 100,000 people living in the UK. Today the picture is very different. There have been major advances in treatment and, following a series of more recent discoveries, we believe we can stop MS. We’ve reached a point where we know what’s causing the disease to progress….

A really bad night

A really bad night

It was one of those MS nights you’d like to forget about if you could. I didn’t even get warnings this time like a stomach cramp or something. I just felt like I might need the bathroom so I got up. I walked about three steps before the accident happened. As my mom says better out then in. The problem was I was alone and already exhausted so this certainly didn’t help. I showered, cleaned and changed and was just…

Fatigue versus tired

Fatigue versus tired

I went into bed early as I’ve been doing every night recently. Last night I didn’t wake up until 3am. I slept straight from 9-3. That is huge for me!!! Then I slept until 8. I wish I could sleep every night like that but my bladder disagrees. My bladder doesn’t usually hold for more than three hours. However even with that great night sleep I still woke up tired. I would have stayed in bed but my bladder had…

Realistic view of multiple sclerosis disability

Realistic view of multiple sclerosis disability

It didn’t flood in the streets yesterday so no daytime pictures to show you. Although that bulldozer is still there I’m excited today because we are playing mahjong here in my building. I’m excited to play but exhausted so I’m grateful to be playing here. I feed the dogs and showered that’s it, I’m wiped out. This is why I straightened my hair because I’d never have the energy anymore to blow dry and style. I’m glad I’m still able…
