Wednesday update

First an update from the blisters and Rituxan Blisters and Rituxan. Doctor wants me to start washing all my clothes in free and clear detergents. I really could have called that one. She wants to rule out allergic reaction to any detergent regardless how long I’ve been using it. I get that understandable but the bras I’ve been wearing lately are actual bras. Like with the clasp bras. Bras I gave up on years ago because my hands can’t do…

Blisters and Rituxan

Blisters and Rituxan

I am at my doctor’s office for an appointment that has been canceled twice. Checking on those blisters that are still appearing under my breast. Blisters on breast. Allergic reaction to Rituxan. Originally deemed an allergic reaction to Rituxan because they appeared within hours of doing the infusion, they are still appearing. My neurologist was the only person who didn’t think it was a reaction to Rituxan even though it said specifically on the Rituxan site: https://www.rituxan.com/patient/starting-rituxan/rituxan-safety-information.html Severe Skin and…

Thursday dealings

Thursday dealings

We played trivia pursuit in the condo club yesterday and I’m happy to report I actually knew some answers. For once I helped my team. We didn’t win because we didn’t finish the game but we were in second place. I was proud. That is not an easy game especially the original edition. They are officially doing work on the empty lot for that hotel. I still can’t find any new plans since the one from 2015 but work has…

Thank you everyone for my handicap van

Thank you everyone for my handicap van

Bubba is back. Bubba is the name I gave to my handicap van. He’s a big boy so Bubba seemed fitting. Turned out it only needed a battery. Good to know that even as the battery dies the ramp still works. Well $200 later he is fixed, sort of. The back sensors that were installed when I bought the car aren’t working. I asked the place that was fixing the car to fix those too but they can only be…

Scary MS symptom strikes again

Scary MS symptom strikes again

I wrote a text to my mom at 5:38 that said I almost choked to death, I’m still shaking. I was certainly grateful to be able to write the text and happy to be able to write this blog. I was eating a sugar free Swedish fish and a small piece went down my throat and got stuck. I wasn’t able to cough it out at first and wasn’t able to breathe. I can’t say what happened because it was…

Handicap Van going to shop…

I got in my car yesterday turned the key and nothing happened. The radio worked, my lift comes out, the lights on the dashboard come on but the car doesn’t start. Thinking the battery we gave it a jump and tried and tried and finally the car turned over. Phew. I really didn’t want to miss mahjong. I even turned the car off and on briefly to make sure we were good to go and we were. Off I went….

When MS limitations are a problem

When MS limitations are a problem

I was in a bad mood yesterday. I don’t normally have bad moods that last anymore but yesterday I did. I just didn’t snap out of it and truthfully I am not sure I wanted to. I was upset for my daughter Love to my daughter which certainly set the stage for my day but then just little things got to me. Dumb things. The phone constantly ringing drove me nuts. An email I was answering disappeared. My favorite shirt…

English Bulldog as a service dog

English Bulldog as a service dog

My daughter comes home for the weekend. Very happy about that. Haven’t seen her since the week after school started in August. I’ve missed that cute face. She got this great job at school working for a dog daycare called Camp Bow Wow. She loves it not only because of the dogs but the people. It is the nicest most supportive jobs environments I’ve ever witnessed. Luckily there is even a location close to us at home that she is…

Metro article: We believe we can stop MS, and this is how

Came across this exciting article about repairing myelin yesterday and I wanted to share. https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/09/can-stop-multiple-sclerosis-10875070/?ito=article.amp.share.top.email Twenty-five years ago there were no treatments for multiple sclerosis (MS) – a neurological condition that affects more than 100,000 people living in the UK. Today the picture is very different. There have been major advances in treatment and, following a series of more recent discoveries, we believe we can stop MS. We’ve reached a point where we know what’s causing the disease to progress….

A really bad night

A really bad night

It was one of those MS nights you’d like to forget about if you could. I didn’t even get warnings this time like a stomach cramp or something. I just felt like I might need the bathroom so I got up. I walked about three steps before the accident happened. As my mom says better out then in. The problem was I was alone and already exhausted so this certainly didn’t help. I showered, cleaned and changed and was just…
