Things that go bump in the night

Things that go bump in the night

I had this post written title one other time. I wrote it about being convinced I heard Boomer, my English Bulldog, after he passed away. I realize now that the things that go bump in the night is usually me. The biggest obstacle I’ve had, since I moved in the condo, is I sleep on the other side of the bed then I use to for the last 25 years. I always slept on the left side which, for all…

Exercise in a pool for MS

Exercise in a pool for MS

I went in the pool. Finally!!! I was the only one in there. I can’t swim anymore. My legs can’t kick. My legs actually can’t even get high enough in the water and I usually end up going under. The truth is I probably could do more but I was trying not to get my hair wet. Let’s be real, with multiple sclerosis there’s only so much energy I have. To go in the pool for the first time in…

Monday Ramblings from multiple experiences

Monday Ramblings from multiple experiences

It’s usually my morning meditation that I decide what I want to blog about. This morning I fell back asleep during my meditation and I never got an idea of what I wanted to say. Right now I’m just staring at the water, hoping something will come to me. When your blog every day, I have to admit, some of my blogs become pointless. I have a feeling this is going to be one of them. I can tell you…

A dogs life in a new condo

A dogs life in a new condo

I’ve waited for days like this. To sit, look out the window, watch the water, drink my coffee and write my blog. I think I’ve finally come to the point where I’ve annoyed my mom. Yesterday when I talk to her I said I’m just so happy and she said I know I know I know LOL The dogs are adjusting well, but find two aspects difficult. We lived in an apartment in someone’s home, now I live in the…

I’m officially unpacked

I’m officially unpacked

It’s official, all my boxes are unpacked. My daughters room still has a couple, but she’ll get to them when she’s ready. For me, and God bless my aid, all mine are gone. I am never moving again. If for any reason I do I will pay the extra money to have them pack and unpack. Now it’s just a matter of organization of where I put some stuff. Changing certain places or positions of spices, pans or maybe cups….

Home Sweet Home By Motley Crue

Home Sweet Home By Motley Crue

I thought I’d go really nostalgic here. I might also be showing my age. I don’t care this is one of those songs that just should be good at all ages. I thought it was fitting for me moving into the condo and finally doing the walk-through on the apartment and being closing that chapter. Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue Song Link You know I’m a dreamer But my heart’s of gold I had to run away high So…

Moving stinks

Moving stinks

OK moving should come with a gigantic warning, this was horrible. I thought I was so prepared. I wasn’t! I think moving would be hard for anybody, but adding multiple sclerosis to it is just a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately, in the morning my aid was running late so that left the beginning of the day on me. I had a couple things left to pack up. I didn’t think it was gonna be a big deal, IT WAS A…

Adjusting 2 dogs to their new home

Adjusting 2 dogs to their new home

For first time ever, there really might not be a post for me tomorrow. Tomorrow is my move day. As of tomorrow, everything is going to the condo including Zoey and Marshmallow. I’m a little concerned about these two. I would’ve liked to have had them there before tomorrow but it didn’t work out. I was going to bring them over but it turns out my painter is allergic. I know for them it would’ve probably been better if they…

Have a very happy hump day

Have a very happy hump day

It’s the hump day. That middle of the week where it’s all downhill to Friday. I’ve been up since roughly 5:30 this morning. I’m exhausted. I couldn’t sleep. I should change that, I couldn’t fall back to sleep. Not sleeping is like an instant bad day with MS. I just wrote the ticket for the day. Not that I could’ve controlled it, I just know how my body is when I don’t sleep. My daughter was up all night studying…

I’m getting stressed, can I get this done?

I’m getting stressed, can I get this done?

Started the day off with a fall. Nothing serious, I just a tripped over something. Couldn’t regain my balance and down I went. I think I tripped over a sweatshirt. It was nice that as I was lying on the floor, and both my dogs looked over at me. My little puppy even came off the bed to check to see if I was OK. Never the way I’d like to start the morning. Have to be honest, the stress…
