A good nights sleep
When was the last time you had one of those? I went into bed my usual time, around 9:30. I usually watch tv a little before closing my eyes. I feel asleep and slept until 3:30 before I had to use the bathroom. That is a record for me. A long stretch. I feel back asleep and woke up at 7:30 and I was awake and refreshed not groggy and still sleepy as I have been for many mornings now. I feel good today I’m hoping that means a good MS day.
A good MS day is tough to articulate these days. Days have become tough because walking has been tough. It is hard to have a good MS day when your struggling with each step. So far in doing my normal morning ritual I am still lifting my feet not shuffling along. That is a good start.
I am equally grateful today because I didn’t start my day with my morning spasm that causes my body to stiffen when I am getting out of bed. I was able to bend my knees and sit up as opposed to some standing position I get myself up into from the bed. It’s awkward and sometimes I end up sliding down to the floor and get myself upright from there. Those spasms drive me crazy but I’m unfortunately use to them.
Not today though, today I slept really good and feel good. Today the spasms weren’t there. Today I didn’t wake up and start shuffling my feet within the first 50 steps I took. Today I’m hoping is a good MS day thanks to a good nights sleep.
